Only Fleming missing from the squad.....injured which could be a bit of a blow to our midfield considering that he's been playing OK of late.

Didn't realise that any new players who wanted to be included in any teams squad today had to be signed by mid day yesterday BUT as the transfer window only opens today it wouldn't have been possible any way....FIFA rules making a mockery of the transfer window opening today in my opinion.

I'm here. More or less. What's the big idea having a game this early on New Years day?

Happy New Years, btw.

If we're playing the weather game this morning, it's -31 C with windchill here. I'm not leaving the house today.

Very even start, we're possibly slightly on top.

Watched a replay of the 'dive'. Difficult to see clearly but it looked like a penalty to me.

Kev almost smuggled the ball in, but just wide.

Really could do with a goal while we're on top.

Weather looks grim!

FFS. Their first half decent attack and they carved through us. 1-0

As so often of late we appear to be on top and then the oppositions first serious attack and goal.

FFS.

And as expected, since scoring our heads dropped and they looked up. Could easily have been 2-0 now.

Let's get back to what we were doing before.

AGGGHHHHH>>> How did we not score! Great piece of play resulting in a good cross. Acci lad gets a touch and the ball ran right across the front of goal with no Morecambe player close enough. Ran out for a corner.

Still very much in this.

Sounds as though we are still competing well and could/should be level at least. Are we still playing decent football because if we can keep that going we must surely have a chance. If we have reverted to the old "hoofball", then.........................

Carry on raining like this and it may be abandoned. The far side of the pitch is holding the ball up already and puddles are forming.

Remember a few seasons ago, we were losing a game and puddles were forming. Kev deliberately lobbed the ball in to the middle of the puddle a couple of times to reinforce the point and the ref called it off? If Freez reads this, he'll probably tell those of you listening to iPlayer what game it was, who scored and the minute it was abandoned. He'll probably correct me and say it wasn't Kev, it was Keith Galley in 1984...

Think I was ill for about a week after standing in that torrential rain and wind for over an hour. It was Kev. We were playing terrible as usual and had 10 men - we needed it called off but got battered in the replay. Can't remember the scores!
