MAYBE WE COULD TRY SOMETHING LIKE THIS

MAYBE WE COULD TRY SOMETHING LIKE THIS

Postby cyprus-shrimp » Tue Jan 02, 2018 6:53 pm

Obviously not this particular anthem (although I confess that it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it - and I'm English to the core). But would we be allowed to do something similar at each home game, involving players and supporters? If so, then for god's sake lets find our anthem - and soon.

As a technophobe I apologise if this post doesn't actually work!!!!

Bloody hell! Put tears in their eyes and they never find the oppositions goal

Sorry! I am not trying to trivialise your post  I am not sure whether referees would allow the anthem thing before every match.

Exactly Black Morse. I don't know whether they would either. But if rugby allows (encourages) it, then why not soccer????? But the next point is ............ what would our "anthem" be?

I think this thread was supposed to be serious! Sorry again Cyprus Shrimp. Are you in Cyprus now? I spent many Christmas and New Years in Cyprus in the past.

Yes BM, I am in Cyprus and enjoyed Christmas lunch outside. Weather turned slightly cooler since then, but not too bad.
And yes again, the original post was intended to make a serious point - basically about building team spirit and bringing fans and players together more..............but I have absolutely no problem with other SVers making some jokey-type posts. Life's too short to get uptight about things like that, and everybody on here is fully entitled to their own opinions on all and any topics. The only things I don't like are personal attacks on any individuals on here. None of that on this thread - YET!!!! :D :D :D

Sorry Freeze. Couldn't reply as I got locked out of SV. Yes it had turned mighty cold and windy and then yesterday far too much rain. Then today - absolutely glorious. BUT that's Cyprus for you!!!
