I was also chuffed when we signed McGurk, but then disappointed to see him wasted in an attacking midfield role. He's a striker who hasn't been given the time or opportunity to play in his best position. I really don't think he's over-rated, just not being utilised properly. He's also only had 21 minutes since he came off at halftime on the 16th Dec.
McGurk has 4 league goals from 17 appearances (0.24 goals per game)
Oliver 3 from 23 (0.13 gpg)
Lang 5 from 15 (0.33 gpg)
Campbell 1 from 17 (0.06 gpg)
Thompson 3 from 25 (0.12 gpg)
Ellison 2 from 10 (0.20 gpg)
The stats point towards McGurk and Lang being our most potent strikers, yet I can't remember the last time they played together, and they certainly haven't played as front two together that I can remember.
On Kenyon - love his passion, hate his passing! If he stopped giving the ball away cheaply I reckon he'd be one of the best at our level and probably able to play in a higher league.
