Somewhat puzzled at team selection... :o

Kenyon ( who is a defensive midfielder) played last game at home but on subs bench today, otherwise changes forced on us due to injuries/rest and more pressing matters with Vadaine.

Think it's a good team all things considered with Olivier and Lang out.

I see your point regarding Kenyon but i suspect Jims playing a side what will look after the ball better against a good footballing side.

It's the sort of game we'll win, then lose the next 3 :D

Pitch looks a bit heavy or is it the $5.00 camera ?

Even if we win today (which will be one hell of an achievement), we are almost certain NOT to gain any places in the table - which is a shame, but is also a fact.

Hope I'm wrong but I can't see us having enough to trouble the Luton defence. Thommo isn't the player he was and McGurk has a lot to prove to show he can recapture his form of seasons past with Burton.

Minute applause just beginning at 11:03am Dom Rep time, so I reckon I’m about three to four minutes behind ‘live’. Got a good picture though, so not going to fiddle with it! 8-)

Hylton off injured after 8 minutes, did Jim order somebody to kick him?

Oddly, Peterborough Ontario is warmer than Luton right now.

Unlucky lads - great effort.

Keep playing like that and we will be OK.

Hope so, because other results today mean we are in a relegation battle for sure.

Desperately need some new blood to put pressure on the others.

And yet the postings so far from those that watching say we did wetland put in a shift. Stats on BBC website agree with that and we were missing a couple of good players against the top of the league. How does that tally with desperately needing new blood? :?

A goal tally of less than a goal a game scored suggests it to me.

EVERY squad needs refreshing at some time in a season.

If you listen to JIm even he acknowledges the need for added competition...but it's the same old story...finance despite the loss of a couple of wages.

I'm sure he's working hard (as usual) but for me we just need some new blood to put pressure on the midfield, the engine and creative room of every team.

Sporting Life stats suggest that they had a greater percentage of the play: https://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/35678/stats

Not a lot of luck against a team who are flying. Their manager and assistant both said we were the better side, it just wouldn't go in. Sick and tired of getting nothing in games we have played so well in.

No new blood as yet, still time mind. McGowan and Conlan were outstanding today, as were the back three, their keeper made 4 excellent saves and everyone put a shift in.

We haven't scabbed much this season,

I'd take a scabber at Newport though.

Neil you've answered your own question, no new money, no new signings!!

Also, no point in simply signing 'new blood', we need quality that will improve the position.

I thought we played well and deserved something from the game. The goal they scored looked a bit soft, could do with seeing it again, but as so often gets said, they had one good chance and took it, we had three and didn't. Kev shot wide when I expected him to bury it and their keeper made two or three excellent saves. On another day, we'd have beaten a top side in front of their own fans.

The concern of course is that there is often at least one side 'too good to go down', that goes down.

Th concern is forest green and chesterfield starting to find form. We have gone from 8 points clear to 3 points clear in just 2 games.
