Port Vale Forum Pre Match Interview / Report vrs Morecambe

Postby REP » Mon Jan 29, 2018 8:45 pm

Hi,

You may know I'm the pre-match reporter for the Port Vale Fans Forum One Vale Fan.

Part of my role is to contact fans of our forthcoming opponents to ask them a few questions and gain their views on the upcoming fixture between our sides in order to produce a report which we release on the site a couple of days prior to the game.

I wondered if up to three of you have a few minutes and would kindly offer your feelings on the game by answering the following few questions;
1. Tell us a bit about yourself & history as a fan?
2. How are your team doing (current form and in relation to the expectation of fans at the start of the season) and where do you think you will finish the season?
3. Who should we watch out for (one or more danger player/s)?
4. What are your thoughts on your manager?
5. Can you tell us up to 3 quirky things opposing fans might not know about your team?
6. Any views on the current Port Vale team & specific players?
7. Did you attend the reverse fixture earlier this season? If so what were your thoughts on the game?
8. Any views & memories of players / managers that have been involved with both teams and which Vale player past or present would you take for your team?
9. A score prediction (and potential scorers for both sides) and what do you expect your away following to be?

Please also feel free to include any other information you feel worthy and I will knock it into a report as per the example below regarding contribution from Doncaster fans from a game with them;
http://www.onevalefan.co.uk/2015/02/opp ... ncaster-h/

To enable me to produce this in good time I need a reply by Wednesday evening and the report should appear on the website a day or two before our fixture.

Please also let me know if you would like me to include your name on the article and if you are prepared to share one a photo of yourself we can utilise with the article.

Many thanks for your potential support in this matter.

Best Regards,

REP

would take far too long to explain which of our players to watch, our main threats. As for our tactics we will leave them to you to scratch your head about! A prediction? 3-0! mfc supporter's about 46. Hope this helps a little :D
Don't worry be happy!

Anyway thank you so much to the two posters who have contributed via PM.

Two outstanding sets of replies, I have tried to reply to you both and obviously chatted with one of you, unfortunately the other poster I haven't managed to thank as my PM's sit in the outbox for some reason.

Anyway the article should feature on our site tomorrow or Saturday morning for those interested in taking a look.

Safe journey to all those that travel on Saturday and best of luck for the season after 5pm Saturday!

Personally I'm hoping two of three of FGR (over spending), Crewe (tinpot team) and Chesterfield (always seem to struggle over recent times against them however bad they are) go down.

Forest Green , a horrible tin pot club and Barnet despite spending large sums on players to go down for me.

Can you arrange for Tom Pope to go out boozing on Friday night and miss the game on Saturday !

I think that just means that the recipient hasn't seen or opened it yet.

How is Yatesy' doing on his road to recovery?

Well there are rumours he does anyway so I doubt that will matter :lol:

To be honest since Neil Aspin came in (January aside) he's looked pretty much unplayable and he gets off the ground and the right side of his man to win headers. He doesn't offer much at all without the help of teammates by his own admission so the key really is to stopping supply and getting in front of him and hoping he doesn't fancy getting off the ground.

Ah I see :lol: Well I've sent it 6 times so he's in for a treat!

I think he still needs more operations and its probably doubtful he will play pro football again. The club have been absolutely superb with him though extending his contract and I'd imagine he will go into coaching with us or somewhere.

It's taken a while but at last he's starting to learn. Might house train him yet?
