We had the pot of gold, i.e. Sainbury's money, but squandered it on a vanity project.

All hindsight now but the club should have built a better home end , similar to the Christie North Stand and put proper facilities in like a covered concourse. The extra work could have been financed by leaving an uncovered "Accy style open terrace" at the away stand as it is very rarely open anyway. This would have left a large section of support not feeling that they were being treated as 2nd class supporters behind the hospitality section.

No, they'll just continue changing the year end to get extra time to file, like they've done the last 2 years. Nothing like hiding the bad news.

Form was filed at Companies House yesterday shortening the financial year to 27 May 2017

From the above article link:

"The court heard that among Mr Oyston’s belongings which he is concerned he could lose forever if they are confiscated now and he then eventually wins this legal dispute include the skeleton of a woolly mammoth and a Lowry painting."

Just reading through some of the property that Mr Belekon could help himself to and it mentions ST Chads Church in Lancaster.

I saw this too and was shocked by it. I play the organ for services at that Church sometimes and I emailed the vicar today and he said he knew nothing about it!

How is your Latvian?

Not sure what the value of a small Church would be. Just thought it a strange thing for a man like Oyston to have in his portfolio.

Could be good news for Seasiders fans if it means the Oystons are selling up, as intimated at the end of the article. just depends what then happen with all the assets listed, in terms of retaining ground & training facilities.

In Court today, Mr Belekon is now owed over £25,000,000 as Oyston has made no attempts to pay him back. There is a big chance BFC may end up in Receivership with one Receiver already appointed. Not sure if the EFL will impose the 12 point deduction.

The Court as approved Mr Belekon's request for a Receiver to be appointed and they will be taking over the running of Blackpool Football Club. Total respect for the fans who have battled every step of the way for their club back.
