He actually thought we played well in the second 45. Unbelievable

He reckons we created a lot of chances

It's obvious from his post match interviews that he believes that the long ball game is the best way to play

Talk about being deluded in his thinking

Continue to play without passion and thought and we will be doomed

Neil, the stats say we had six efforts on target to their one!
So to some extent that's perhaps where he has got that from.
A point was welcome today as we did only kick into life after we went to a back four, wasn't a great game but we found a way to get something.
From now on, for me, I don't care how we get results as long as we get them, today it was important to get something and we did. Pretty? No but we didn't lose, just.

Agree with Freez to a certain extent but for me we need to see much more than was shown today if we want to stay in the division. That starts with the starting line up and tactics, and continues with the effort on the pitch because you can't keep turning out for only 45 minutes every week when you are in a relegation battle.

The team we played today are not the forest green that started this season, they signed 10 players in the transfer window, and will finish this season in a good position, that is because they have money to spend and have brought in quality, today was a point gained , not 2 points lost......and I reckon one or two Jimbo knockers will have been disappointed when we battled and got an equaliser, Winard was outstanding today BTW.

Our intentions were not to lose. Negative set up lack of forward play, late equaliser job done as far as our management were concerned! A competitive match did break out, oh sorry that was at half time! Will go down to the last game i think sadly.

......and about time McGurk was given some meaningful game time. He helped an otherwise ineffective midfield during his time on the pitch for me.

Agree with MrP that Winnard played well..but not sure he was MoM

If we try to play football on that pitch we're doomed. Some of the bobbles today were ridiculous. The one going flat along the ground that leapt about a foot over Conlon's foot was impossible to do anything with.

If the pitch is so bad how come so many other sides can manage to pass to each other on it?

Exactly..... Other teams come and play it on the deck but not us. The pitch is poor but doesn't stop other teams playing the game the way it should be AND getting a positive result as well.

Why not start with four at the back then instead of seven? Get in front and then shut up shop instead of shutting up shop and then shitting yourself in the last 10? Maybe i am missing something....

But did he say that?
What time on the interview did he actually say "we played well"?

He did say;

"I'm very disappointed with our first half performance..."
"The two subs have come on and played well."
"Forest Green... ...were better than us first half, second half we had them pinned in and played some good stuff ourselves."
"I didn't think we did the basics right first half... ...and they started better than us [...but...] coming out second half, I thought we did a lot more second half than we did first half..."
"Thankfully we got the goal that we deserved in the end."

Which of those actual quotes did you disagree with?

Unbelievable? Quite.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
