Friday is going to be a cracking night, You get the chance to ask former players questions that may not have been asked before. The first legends wall nominees to be unveiled, there are plenty of raffle prizes and its all for charity, so spread the word and make a great night of it.

Let's just give this a bit of a bump.
Should be a really good night. Mark S has worked rally hard to get this off the ground and it is for a great cause so make sure you don't miss it.

Excellent evening , some great stories from the top table , the trust did a great job, particularly Mr and Mrs Swindlehurst ,and I hope the charity raised a decent donation, high point of the evening was the unveiling of the first 4 banners featuring club legends , and the choices were spot on !

Was a great night. Shame more didn't attend. But those that did had an enjoyable evening.

Maybe one or two "fans" stayed away because there might be too much Hoof ball.

Fantastic choices ,particularly the 2 non players, Clarrie is sadly no longer with us, if he were then we would be blessed with a far better pitch! .......and as Mark rightly said, without Ken, and his lovely wife Theresa, there probably wouldn't be a Morecambe football club, well done the trust!

MR potato head

You are correct Clarrie was a great man, however the state of the pitch as nothing to do with him.

Maybe you should have more respect and maybe you should look at the clubs financial position rather than blaming the current team of ground staff especially the head groundsman who was clarrie boss.

If my memory serves me well :o I'm sure the current groundsman was understudy to Clarrie before Clarrie retired.

Clarrie was groundsman at Christie Park for many seasons and did a superb job.

The current groundsman (Chesh) took over from Mick Wiermouth

22 Years in total

I’m not saying he’s not a great guy but you cannot blame the state of the pitch on one person who has to oversee 2 sites with no financial backing and staff.

I never blamed the groundsman at all, the pitch needs major investment.

Maybe you should re word your comments so they say that !

Rather than stating we would be blessed with a far better pitch

To be fair he's not the only one reading your post thinking your having a dig at Chesh mate

I thought the start of the season right up to Xmas the pitch looked well, and the continuous bad weather has battered the pitch, look around and there's quite a few other league 2 pitches in worst state than ours.

Well done Chesh you do your best with what you have available!!!
