Shrimps Trust wrote:Just to answer a few points about Shrimps Trust which have been raised in this thread – which could be construed as negative towards the Trust (“The Trust should be doing this” – etc.).

The Trust is currently operated by a small band of hardy volunteers – as was The Fans Club before it, and OMFSC before that – who have the interests of the club at heart, and try to promote increased fan engagement and improve the overall experience of supporting the club. As part of the organisations objectives upon formation, The Trust aimed to hold regular and effective communication with The Club on behalf of its membership – a commitment the BoD and employees of Morecambe FC have thus far fulfilled. To date these meetings have been constructive, with questions submitted from the Trust membership forming part of formal agendas. Full minutes from these meetings are published and available to download from The Trusts website https://shrimpstrust.co.uk/news/minutes. We welcome any issues/ideas/suggestions that our membership want raising during these meetings.

In addition to the minutes, members also receive regular emails and a monthly newsletter – electronic copies are available from The Trust website https://shrimpstrust.co.uk/news/newsletters (printed copies are available from the Trust Information Point in JB’s Bar on match days).

If you are a full Trust members for the 2017/18 season and you have not been receiving correspondence, please contact our membership team (email shrimpstrustmemberships@gmail.com) as we may hold incorrect information.

If you are not a full member of the Trust and want to join to receive membership benefits through the discount scheme, entry into the monthly prize draws, and Trust representation - you can join at The Trust at Information Point (cash or card payment accepted – online seasonal memberships are temporarily unavailable).

As a group of Trustees we welcome constructive feedback from existing, prospective and current non-members alike – but it is becoming increasingly frustrating to learn of comments which suggest that The Trust is inactive and that it isn’t communicating with its members; we're doing our best.

Indeed you are and the vast majority of us appreciate it. I get more information now than ever I used to. Our thanks to you all for your efforts.

^ This. The trust officials are doing a tremendous job during what are difficult times for all of us. Your efforts ARE appreciated.

+1 :D

the three dates these events were held on were free dates the club had and approached the trust to see if we could use them. two of the events were sell outs attended by Morecambe fans and people connected to the charities all spending money behind the bars and and raising cash for the club. :o

Usually through conversation. Being an interest of mine, I ask. I am always surprised when fans who I remember being fervent advocates for the need of a Trust, didn't bother to join when the Trust was eventually formed.

Just out of interest who on here is a member?

So having had conversations with fervent advocates of the Trust who have told you they are not members, did they tell you why? Surely the Trust can learn from your conversations :?:

Who asked who isnt?

The Shrimps Trust is a great organisation who are trying their best to represent all supporters (whether members or not) as well as honouring legends and holding events for all fans. Join the Trust and we are Stronger Together.

That's forums for you. Two people read the same sentence in completely different ways. One a question, another a statement.
