I hope that Oliver finding the net gives him a confidence boost. I commented on Saturday that he could do with a few reserve games to find a scoring touch (hopefully!) and build his confidence in front of goal.

So how did that work out then?

PS: My comment led to a discussion about how David Beckham used to stay behind after training had finished. He'd tie a hoop in the goal and then spend half an hour or so repeatedly taking free-kicks, shooting the ball through the hoop. Oliver could do with doing something similar, just practicing heading in crosses or shooting, even in to an empty net to get that feeling back.

Do you not think we are the latest club who think they can make Oliver into a footballer? He has all the physical attributes but......

We've got him for another season, so I'm kind of HOPING Jim can make him in to a League Two standard footballer! Five goals in 55 appearances from a number 9 isn't a great return

Jim obviously thought he could improve him as his returns were similar at previous clubs....either that or Jim was desperate to get someone....in which case why a 2 year contract?
We await next year :?

Highlights now on the OWS.....watch out for our No 2. He's played a number of games of late for our Academy / Development Squad and has scored in nearly every game he's featured in.

Certainly took his latest goal well and looks a fine prospect.
