Chesterfield tonight (definitely not off topic!)

With our superior goal advantage if Chesterfield lose tonight they will need 10
points from their last 4 games to overtake us and Barnet would need 8 from 3.

Sleep easy tonight guys ;)

Like to know how Barnet are going to get 8 from 3. Effectively means they need to win all their remaining games to get above us.

They could do it with 2 x 4.0 wins and a draw, if one of the wins is against us :?

If Chesterfield lose tonight they will then need 3 wins and a draw from their remaining fixtures, one of which is Wycombe, to get above us. Similarly, Barnet will have to win all their remaining games. This is assuming we lose our last four games which is unlikely. We should be mathematically safe by teatime on Saturday and looking forward to another season in League 2. COYS

And don't forget Barnet play Chesterfield last game of season so one or maybe both will drop points, in fact I think the bottom four play each other on the last day.

Still not safe, but a big step closer. Be very unlikely to get caught. Chesterfield could lose one more and still catch us, but we'd have to lose heavily & they win well to close the goal difference. Barnet can't lose any.

Barnet can't draw any. 7 points wouldn't overtake us unless we ship a load of goals.

But lets do it with a win or 3

To go down, we'd have to lose all four games.
If we lose four games 2-0 our goal difference is -21
Barnet win two games 2-0 & one 1-0 & draw one game, their goal difference is -20.

Not beyond the realms of possibility. Be much happier if we win on Saturday! :D
