Strike force for Tuesday and the rest of this terrible seaso

No Oliver in the team even on the bench. Nothing to be lost in putting young Kyle on the bench and giving him a chance at some time in the game. Ok he young and raw but he'd run and run and put defences under pressure from minute 1 and his aggression could just be what we need.

Going forward and into the close season. The board really need to look at the management team and ask themselves if they are capable of giving the fans what they are crying out for.

Time for me to be frank and put my cards on the table. Sorry Jim but it's time you either changed your negative tactics or time for you to move aside and let Kevin and Drummy take over.

I'll be shot down by some for saying what I feel but the survival of my club is of far more importance than having to endure another season of utter crap.

I would like to see some people on here put up with what Jim’s had to put up with in there workplace. If we finish 3rd from bottom and stay up it’s a massive achievement. The club has had clowns like Cala causing issues, Jim has had no proper budget to go and get players(miller was offered twice what we could offer at Crewe)

What on earth did he see in the close season signings of the 2 strikers to give them 2 year deals.

I posted some time ago that it would be interesting to see how he handled a decent budget. But tactics and style of negative play now make me question that even if he got the budget would the negativity change.

I understand that money is tight and so any expenditure on players has to be carefully assessed but we have to admit that money has been wasted on signing a couple of the players who offer us next to nothing.(Campbell and Oliver?). We could perhaps have afforded Miller if we hadn't wasted money, assuming Miller wanted to play for the club again which is arguable. We are at the point when we have to go for a win in a season when we have only won 9 games. I am tempted to agree with Christies Child and include one of the young players in the squad- they would at least offer workrate and enthusiasm.

As mentioned money is tight and IMHO why do we use a portion of it to pay for a back-up keeper.

If Baz is injured there is always a decent keeper available to loan and from what I have seen of young Maher he looks a better prospect than Dan and would benefit from being Baz's cover.

I said it on another post but I reckon our forwards are on a decent whack and take up a lot of the budget. Campbell, Oliver and McGurk will be on decent money. Thommo and Kev will be reducing their demands as their careers come to an end. Lang may be a small contribution.

Wildig and Rose will be high earners but offset against Kenyon and Flemmo who are probably happy to remain pro footy players.

Winnard and Old will be on higher money but then you have young pro's like Sam, Brough, Conlan and Aj who don't demand big wages yet.

So I think that our failing strikers take up the majority of the budget and has been badly spent.

WOW! That's a bombshell that no-one expected! You think Jim & Kenny should go??? When did you come to that conclusion?

Oh yeah, bloody ages ago!

You think Drummie & Kev would do better with no money, than Jim & Kenny with no money? Based upon what? I'll be delighted to simply survive until the off field situation is sorted out and then hopefully see some investment. The last thing we need is even more uncertainty.

So how did that work out then?

What we need going forward is for fans to be entertained with attack minded football and get back to those early days of JImbo when it was a case of ' you score 2 and we'll score 3'

Sod this negativity that has seen hundreds of fans no longer prepared to put up with it.

As for my feelings about the management. I've got tremendous respect for Jim and his unquestionable loyalty to the club both as a player and up until this later part of the season as a manager but enough is enough and as much as I'd like him to change as other managers do it's highly unlikely that he will....at least in the short term.

Oh how I'd love it if he proved me wrong.

You can replace the manager but we’d still have no money.

We’d still only be able to afford the same quality of players.

We’d still be watching our players hoof it forward when put under pressure because they don’t have the technical ability to pass it out.

The system which Jim plays is horrible. There is an attack and a defence. There is a back 6, a number 10 and then 3 forwards. There is no midfield at all. There is a visable gap of 20-30 yards between the midfield and attack. It is awful to watch and must be awful to play in. It is nothing more than parking the bus. It will be the same on Tuesday night. There wil be more people in Kings and The Exchange than there is at The Globe.
