Also we'd an impressive turnout by former fans who turned up we'd around 1990 Morecambe fans today!

So if you go by this seasons average of a 1000 home fans, we'd nearly double home fans turning out today!

Only to witness the football dished up, forget charging £10 standing £12 seating, free pies(doesn't work) etc, we all now know the real reason to why fans are staying away.

If we had this lot turning up every week we wouldn't have all this bankruptcy shit to deal with off the pitch, instead we'd be self sufficient.

Possibly the best performance of the season? Lucky to witness such a game? The mind really boggles what they see up on the balcony for the privileged. There might be more iplayer pundits than fans next season.

Might not always agree with Freez but he has a difficult job to do often doing post match interviews with the manager just like Quinny.

I respect both their views and contributions but may not always agree with their conclusions.

Obviously they can't be very critical in public because it puts the opportunity to do what they do in jeopardy.

Firstly, I am a positive person in life, and I make no apologies for that. There are plenty on here who are professionally miserable and yes we disagree but that doesn't make either opinion correct.
However, secondly, I volunteer, as do others, for instance in cleaning up the ground for free after the game in their own time, so I don't appreciate the sneering comments but appreciate that you may think I'm up here to be shot down. I may disagree with your opinion but I will defend your right to voice it.
I don't do what I do for me, I do it for the club to help out and offer more than just support. But I dont expect a medal or thanks either. We are all fans.
Thirdly, yesterday was awful, three or four hiding from minute one, flicking the ball on and hoping someone else will take responsibility. Hoofball aplenty. Soul destroying. Barnet were streets ahead and deservedly won.
The defence did OK but it was only a matter of time. Those listening heard it as it was. Hopeless.

However, we need a point at the Ricoh, play the correct team, to me Wylde and Fleming need to start, and we can get what's needed.
Not scored in three games, players out of form and confidence low, change is needed!

Onwards to Coventry, Up The Shrimps.

110% in agreement....both need to be on from minute 1 in place of Campbell and Kenyon. Coventry's pitch lends itself to playing it on the deck. We did it v Carlisle (and played intelligent, tactically astute football) so we can do it at Coventry.

You would play Rose and drop Kenyon? The altitude in the PMG must have had some effects over the years. Kenyon is the only player who shows leadership on and off the pitch. Should be made Captain from now on.

Am I allowed to change my mind...... :?: :?: :?:

Not the first time.... :oops:o

A number near me in the PMG actually think that Rose needs to be on the bench... :!: :!: :!:

But I along with more than a few others felt the tactics he and his assistant employed were never going to get us the result we needed.

Against Carlisle we played it with passion, intelligence and for the most part on the deck.

Today's shambles was only a reflection of too many games this season. I just don't understand their tactic of always hoofing it forward. With 30 to go our master tactician came down from his perch in the Directors box and one of his first actions was to indicate to the players to play the ball long and over the top. This only played into the hands of their 6'+ central defender but was a ridiculous instruction when we only had Callum playing asa single striker...again.

So no apology from me and if it lands me in trouble with the club for expressing my views without resorting to swearing then so be it.

61 years of supporting my club and I'm ashamed of what we now serve up for a dwindling public. And yet the management team are under contract until 2020....unbelievable..

It's time for a change in approach and if that means that the current management team decide to go or are asked to, then so be it. We simply can't continue with such negativity and if we do escape relegation they still need either to change or go...and as someone who has respect for the legend that Jim is, i get no pleasure from saying or feeling my thoughts regarding him.

have to agree with all of that, started supporting the team in 1956, but if JB stays after this I might call it a day

My wife and I also do voluntary work for the club, we sell programs and half time draw tickets pre match and I also do 2 Goalden Gate draw rounds, all in our own time.
As Freez says we don't do it for thanks but to assist the club.
Maybe some of the posters having a dig could volunteer to help as we have been down to bare bones selling programs and desperately need Goalden Gate round collectors, if you want you can even get some financial reward for doing it.

Please don't.....

Our club needs as much continued support as it can, especially when the going gets tough.

We may have frustrations about certain aspects and vent our feelings from the heart, but to walk away is only compounding the issue.

What a breath of fresh air - positivity and encouragement from their manager. Not the doom & gloom, negativity and depression we hear from ours.

I like these bits:

I’ve been very impressed with the tribal group behind the goal who have sung their hearts out and embraced the efforts of the players. The players have mentioned it and we are all really grateful for your backing.

As for the stand to my right and the people going in there, it is no good getting a seat in there and acting like a bus load of tourists in Trafalgar Square, taking selfies, talking about the lovely view and the comfortable seats. You are there and you are in there to do a job and together, all of us will help our players achieve what we set out to do six weeks ago.
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I wish the people in stand D were quietly sitting taking selfies.

If it wasn't for the fact that I paid for a two year season ticket I would be moving back behind the goal next season because of some of the abuse our own players get from some of the perennial old farts. Sometimes while said players are just warming up on the touch-line.
I've held my tongue as the main culprits are much older, clearly long time fans who bring family and much needed revenue that I would rather not deny the club.
