I am puzzled why Peter McGuigan is still chairman of the board when he has apparently sold his shares and is there a danger that he has done another Diego by selling to this recently formed and very modestly financed company? Not sure how this will bring stability etc to our club.

However RT sounded very certain that things would be happening on Saturday night speech, the stand alterations and new pitch being laid so maybe it's good news, I know there's uncertainty because of what's happened over last 2 years but surely someone like Rod knowing what the clubs means to us and him wouldnt want us all and the club to suffer further.
Sometimes the club doesn't help itself by releasing so little information, given its been sold surely we could have been given more info about the new owners and their plans.

The value of the club may not have changed much with regards to Saturday depending on the sale amount agreed, the sale might of been made public to give everyone a boost for Saturday however with little information given it can have the opposite effect.

I really hope it's good news and get some stability back in our club to move forward.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere Saturday and would be great for some positive news to come to ready us for another season a FL club

Interesting news. Like many, I don't really know what to make of it yet. Time will tell, I suppose.

If you were a new owner with good interests wouldn't you want a big announcement and try to give some good feel good factor, get some publicity and start trying to win round the local community.

Which makes me think this announcement has been done on the quiet because it's a bit shady and day to day nothing will really change.

So.....if this company was only formed in January, but the Board had been in discussion since last Nov/Dec as stated by PMG, is it the case that the company was only set up to hold the MFC shares?
Not sure what this all means

Sometimes you've got to realize, that you can't do it all alone. Building partnerships are the key to get projects over the line! Collaboration can close the deal. https://t.co/DUYKIesWuq

I reckon both michael de stefano and michael d williams should keep their thoughts to themselves because it sounds as though it's a case of sour grapes with one if not both as i think I'm right in saying have links to a certain Joesph Calla who our club or its fans want nothing to do with....now or ever... :!: :!: :!:

Go and spread your malicious gossip on things that you are involved in and not directed at our club.

I don't think anything they've said is out of order and they're free to have their opinion just like anyone else.

With the club and the new majority shareholders remaining silent, people will try and fill in the blanks themselves. The only thing we know is the people that loaned the club money last month are now majority shareholders.

He has a point though about Sage investments if you look up whats happened to Hartlepool. Then Sage decided they had taken it as far as they could, I think they found even bigger issues under the surface (sounds familiar) and sold out to a new consortium, I also think their Supporters trust was involved as ideally they wanted to hand it over to fan ownership.

I wonder if our new owners are just temporary and will soon look to sell us on again.

Maybe CC's wish of a local consortium isn't dead yet.

It would be useful to get more information on the Hartlepool story I wonder if someone at our trust can talk to one of their guys because it looks to me like we are going the same way.

I must say the finance director they brought in gives great press releases stating all the facts we could do with her at Morecambe!

It's the "Board" that has made the announcement and PMG is the chairman of the board.

Which is confusing in itself.

The architect of the worst deal in our history and who created the unmitigated disaster we find ourselves in is the Chairman of our club.

+1

it sounds like a quick deal before the price drops even further on sat. evening

I think it's a bit rich Peter McGuigan making any statement about the club especially referring to stability. Much of the turmoil the club has endured is down to his management of the sale in my opinion.

Oh for that level of openness and honesty.

Two directors telling us basically you don’t know what goes on behind the scenes and you’re all wrong but then don’t tell you anything.

Has Burnard left the building? Is that the end of the G50 story? Did he send the SOS to Cala when he knew the gig was up?

Wow, good job someone text me last night to tell me about this. What a sad state of affairs.

Part of the ground & training pitches lost in administration. Majority shareholder's shares sold on 3 times, is it true we're now owned by a semi-detached house in suburbia? Share sale a few days ahead of the biggest match in the club's history which, for a normal Ltd company, could seriously affect their value. Director's, other than when Rod is wound up enough, still not even joining in any good news on the forum. Come on guys, you're missed!

The only constant in all of this is Auntie Beeb who still can't get it right
The deal follows Brazilian businessman Diego Lemos's move to purchase a majority stake in G50 Holdings in September 2016.

I shall be watching closely on Saturday. Safe journey to everyone heading down the M6 and good luck.

According to Companies House Mr Burnard is still a director of Morecambe FC although his son resigned on 3rd April.
There can be a time lag in filing resignation and appointment documents so maybe some movement on the board in the days to come.

As has been mentioned Bond group are a newly formed organisation. I wonder if G50 have joined forces with others to create Bond management. Just a thought.
