O/T Traffic accident Saturday evening

A number of returning coaches may have passed the aftermath of a road accident at the junction of the new road and Caton road on Saturday evening.

It has been reported on BBC North West that the motorcyclist involved has tragically lost his life. Evidently he was a motorcycle courier for the local blood transfusion Service and was in the process of delivering blood to RLI Lancaster from Kendal Hospital.

Tragic news and a sad loss of someone who was delivering possible life saving blood to someone else.

I had just come of the m6 and was directed onto caton road and then turned round to go over the new bridge just as the air ambulance was landing,it was not a nice thing see,looked like two cars involved,R I P
