Sorry to see Brough go as he was in my opinion not given a fair chance to impress.

Not sure who this target man is.... ;)

That's funny. When a few of us were speaking to Old on Saturday he stated that his family is based in the local area and he would be more than happy to stay on next season.

Well I take it back but I was told by a usually reliable source that his family was based in the south....so sorry to post some incorrect info but it was based on what I was told.....

If true then excellent news. He and Sam have formed a superb partnership.

I can't imagine we would have let winnard go if Old was going as well.

Could be a clue that his negotiations have been successful.

So if last summer is anything to go by the rest will be waiting for Kev to sign first

What else has this usually reliable source told you CC?

Maybe, just maybe, he or she is the mischievous root of your challenged beliefs?

I seriously doubt it particularly in this case.

And before you or anybody asks, there is NO WAY that I'm going to divulge my source...I've too much respect for what he does for our club to say who he is.

I would hate to be held hostage with you! I hope this recently outed club employee is running for the hills

This is nerve racking - all being released early because we are skint or because we have a bag of money ready for new targets

We have to pay their wages for May and June even though we have released them.

If they don't sign for another club before 1st August we have to pay them a salary for July as a sort of payment in lieu of notice.

I think Maher going is completely irrelevant to whether Baz stays or not to be honest.

I thought Maher looked a better prospect than Dan Nizic.

It could mean we are skint and going with one keeper or if the new guys have some money maybe a decent back-up to compete with Baz.

I think it merely means that Jim doesn't rate him. We will still have 2 goalkeepers as we do every season.

Nothing to see here.

Chesterfield striker Kristian Dennis has left the club. I’d take him and Andy Kellet as they were the two players that stood out for them when we played them last season at home.
