If anything needed jumping on, it was CC's comments about PMG. Yet another "fact" from CC that he didn't actually know for a fact but heard from someone else and is now unwilling to divulge his source.

As I said if you think or know it’s wrong say so , he was just repeating what he had been told which is what a forum is all about !

I've no idea if it was right or wrong hence the question he refused to answer. As much as I don't like PMG, there's a limit as to what should be said and bringing someone's personal life into a public discussion is a step too far.

He could have just replied he heard it on the grapevine.

If neither of the two new owners have serious funds how are they going to finance the club over the next two years? As I said in an earlier post, something doesn't seem right about this whole saga. I wonder if there is some plan that will lead to chunks of the land surrounding the stadium being sold off and even the covenant on the ground being challenged to enable that to be sold? The two new owners seem to have the skills to attempt this- one is an expert on covenant advice and one in buying and selling real estate. If this worrying scenario is untrue then the board should explain how the club is going to be financed over the next two years including where the two new owners are going to get the funds from and explain how the club and its assets are to be maintained for Morecambe Football Club and are not to make money for any individuals. We need communication to reassure us that moving forward everything is being done for the benefit of our beloved club.

Some of know CC's real name, and I was working at one of his neighbours' houses two days ago! :o I have to say I know his views have a tendency to be in the minority on here, but a minority of the responses he gets do tend towards the bullying end. Having experienced bullying at many points during my life, I would never condone that, even if he is at times inviting, shall we say, 'strong' responses.

Back to the thread topic, at the moment there is a lot of speculation as to the motives behind the the new purchasers. We will know when we know, if there is any nefarious intent, and throwing theories around isn't really helping anyone. The two gents have been prepared to show their faces on TV and make promises as to funding, so I would suggest we have little option but to wait and see if these come to fruition, but if they don't and it turns out to be a front to sell off all the assets and destroy the club, at least we'll know whose face to put on the dartboard, alongside PMG.

Take a look back at the last 20 or 30 postings MG made and you will see that the vast majority of them if not all were aimed at CC.

I think at this stage we have to take the new owner's word. They have done more of the 'right things' so far than other recent 'owners' and been prepared to stand up and say they know little about running a football club but are prepared to put up the funds. Would the pitch be being worked on if they hadn't provided some finance? They have no obligation to say to all and sundry how they intend to finance the club.

Delighted to be linked with CC's departure, but if my 6 posts this year have contributed to him leaving the board, he needs to get a thicker skin.

Aside from it being generally quite unpleasant reading the personal attacks on here, it really is incredibly boring.

People come on here to read people's opinions on games/club matters etc, and just for general news a lot too as our club is so crap at keeping us informed; especially important for those that don't live nearby/can't make games. Instead, I just see ridiculous, petty, personal assaults (mainly on CC) and it's unpleasant, depressing and boring to read.

You're all grown adults, but it honestly feels like I'm looking on a forum full of primary school children sometimes.

On topic:
I think PMG draws a parallel with Arsene Wenger, did an amazing job at first and then just stayed on a bit too long, started to make some bad calls and cocked things up a bit (a lot), tainting what should have been a fantastic legacy.

No, they don't have to say but unless they do, we'll continue to speculate until we touch a nerve and get another lecture  From a business point of view, it has to be the strangest acquisition and the timing, well, crazy.

The week before we know if we're staying in the league or not, they buy the majority shares. A few days later and they could have lost a lot of money on their value, they were very lucky. They've invested in a Ltd company hemorrhaging money from every orifice and their job is to make sure the club have money to pay the wages & bills.

:?: Where's the money coming from and why :?:

I think that’s a good comparison, and like Wenger probably still thinks he can turn it arround.

Whilst you are right about some of this. I can’t quite fully agree. Has anyone ever wondered why it’s always CC? He plays the victim well but is often the antagonist and that gets boring. I don’t know CC but he winds me up and I bite. The reason I post and come on here less often is actually because of him.

Personally until someone or something happens to change my mind i dont think the new owners motives appear to have been affected by whether we are a L2 Club or not. Can only wait for either the fans forum or the gala draw, whichever comes first for the next snippet of info.
I really hope somethings happens to prove these thoughts wrong.
Seemingly Carlisle make a decision tomorrow, so that might get the ball rolling
