Jim contender for carlisle sky sports

Is this forum not a debating and discussion forum? Are we not entitled and allowed to speak our minds if we disagree with something that someone posts BoroRedShrimp??

If we disagree with something posted should we nod and agree politely and offer you another cucumber sandwich with the crusts cut off ?? No.

YOU said YOU wanted Jim to leave.

I have a different opinion to you.

It's called debate. Not jumping down "other fans throats". There's a difference.

You told Boro to "reel his neck in" when he offered a view that you didn't agree with. Some of the people who post on here are crackers.

Exactly but feel that people have to explain in specific detail why they don't like Jim as manager. Each to their own. fans like him fans don't like him & if we were all the same the club/forum would be boring. No hard feelings we all feel differently about our club in different ways. I hope that these new dudes do support Jim & we can see to his full potential what he can do with more money.

I'd guess the reel your neck in was a response to the "You are being pathetic." Which in itself was an uncalled for response to a reasonable rebuttal of a naive post about playing attractive football. If you're going to have a pop at people about childish name calling then at least be consistent.

If you want us to play attractive football to entertain you, you better hope we get relegated... and then again.. then, with our cash we may be able to be above half way in the Conf North table, that way it's easier to be entertaining because you're playing teams on a par with you.
When you're strugglin at the bottom, it's bloody hard. I'll take staying in the league by whatever means.
Defence has been brilliant this season -needed to be -and gives us something to work on IF -an its a massive IF we can build anything like a squad with any new money next season but I'm not holding my breath. And people moan about losing the family club feel... then try to stick the knife in our 'daddy'!

OK! Play nicely please ladies and gents.
Debate is exactly what this forum is for, but let's not debase ourselves in petty squabbles, there are sensible and cogent arguments from all sides, but the personal insults are a bit silly.

I would like to think that most of the fans on here would respectfully argue their case face to face, so just because some have pseudonyms, could we not do the same on the keyboard, please try and remember that.

How can you say that when you have no proof that Jim could do as well as John Coleman without the right backing. You maybe right or may wrong but Unless Jim has the money/backing we will never know so to come out with that statement is not true mate. You are saying things that I have not mentioned about Coley & Andy Holt only Jim. Now I can see why people stop coming on here because people have to agree with everybody else.

That would have been a big mistake wouldn't it?

No, we have no proof that Jim could do as well as Coley with money but at the same time you have no proof that he couldn't either.

Not right arsed about the name calling to be honest. What grinds my gears is the usual crowd drowning out anyone who dares go against what they preach. NPL Daze/Seasider is very quick to jump on any comment against Jim and the club. I just find it really tiresome reading his and others self righteous posts.

Personally we have gone stale as a club. we don't seem to be moving foward in the right direction in different areas & my opinion is a change may be best. Jim is a legend & I and many others appreciate the hard work he has done but with attendances dropping every season it may be the time for a change, but again that is just my opinion, everybody else will have their own.

Have I really just read this.....???

How have we been able to move forward with everything being up in the air and uncertain times etc etc....

You know as well as everybody else the saga of the past 24 months unless you've been living on Planet Zog.

I understand that there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the clubs future & ownership & it is very frustrating however I also see that last season many including me saw with their eyes open some negative frustrating football at the Globe when we had a few decent crowds. Unless we change that style of play & entertain the fans then yes we will be like this for the forseeable future with frustrating attendances & no money to buy players. Unless crowds increase we are on a slippery slope to disaster. We have of yet to see if these two new dudes are genuine, nothing is yet in black & white. Jim has been one of the best centre halfs in lower league football but my opinion as manager is not the same unfortunately & no matter what people say that is my view for the time being. Things have to change by the new kids on the block but unless we see positivity off the field we will continue to struggle as well as on it. Sometimes you cannot always blame your tools & to be fair the squad we had last season wasn't too bad but it was the team selection what was frustrating, leaving players out that would have made a difference in 90 minutes. Fleming & Wildig just two to mention. So it is not always down to problems within the club their is a bigger picture sometimes. You don't see other teams whinging about it they get on with it regardless of what they have got. Accrington many years back where in the same boat as us but they just got on with it & look were they are now thanks to better financial support. Hopefully that will be us but I ain't holding my breath. A player who has done extremely well in the reserves is Gomes & I hope like many that have now gone that he gets regular first team starts because this lad can go so much further than on the bench. We will see what happens but again the younger players need a run out or their is no point in having a reserve team. These are the two things that I see differently to theirs regarding Jim. Again this is my view & many others will see different.

well said !

Well boo hoo for you. If you like it they can speak, if you don't they can't?
I can't speak for them but what probably grinds their gears is the same clueless few going on about style of play again and again. Change the f'ing record please. We've got a good manager and, for the most part, the fans think he's a good manager. Just get over it. There isn't enough of you to force him out, you're not getting what you want, so why not try with a bit of positivity instead?

If we'd had the team being run like Boro suggested in that post we'd definitely have gone down. You can give it all the 'we might not have' as much as you like, but we would have gone down, full stop. All but the totally cluless will aknowledge that.
We all want to see attractive attacking football, nobody is denying that. Realistically, at the minute, we've got to look at staying in the division as a priority to that. Maybe some people don't think that, and would prefer to see us as a big fish in lower leagues, that's a valid viewpoint to have but not one that I subscribe to. This isn't a situation like Everton where they've got money to spend. Without the hard cash I'm afraid you can't have your cake and eat it, some people just don't seem to be able to get that concept into their thick skulls, hence why it's being pointed out to them. When you're fighting for your life in a division you don't go out to entertain, you go out to not get beat. It's not entertaining but it's real life. High time some of you lot put your Playstations down.

There was a post from one of these whiners a few weeks back that actually said they thought they would
genuinely do a better job than Jim!? It's that's sort of laughable statement that gets people's backs up.

Ditto to you. If you don't like what they say you can lump it, rather than calling someone pathetic for challenging your flawed and naive post about style of play.

No because Coley has far more experience at management level than Jim & got Accy promoted twice as well as manage Rochdale. Don't presume things I have not said that comes out of your mouth. Coley I have far more respect for for what he has achieved as a player & a coach. If Jim gets that far with us then brilliant. You brought up a question about Jim having money I didn't so don't blame me. I gave you an answer back, which you are still trying to prove me wrong.

I am not arsed what you think but I will have my opinion whether you like it or not. I am sorry that I am not part of the Jim Brigade.

Can you not get it into your thick skull as well that is your opinion & this is ours. Only because you like Jim doesn't mean everybody has to acknowledge you & bow down to you. Criticising fella fans is uncalled for & maybe why people have stopped coming because of all the petty squabbling by posts. You are a fan like us so respect that. We are on here to agree or disagree so get over it. You like Jim fair enough & some don't for whatever reason. However you have no right to slag others off all because you have thrown your toys out of the pram over the love saga with Jim. ;) You show respect to other fans then I will do the same back otherwise this is only heading for one thing & you know what Keith calls it. The naughty step. :D

Right, that is time i will never get back. Decided to read your patronising and name calling riddled post out of courtesy.

Firstly, what are your credentials that qualify you to be such a self proclaimed footy expert?
Secondly, once i saw past your anger and patronising comments I tried to come up with answers. Have you asked the 800+ fans who have found something better to do on a Saturday why they have stopped coming or do they just have thick skulls? They style of play has been criticised by many on here but they must also be clueless yes?
Macc have just won the much feared National League without a pot to piss in have they not?

You should apply to be a supporters Liaison officer with your fantastic way with words.
