Chorley away which is a welcome return for us to Victory Park

Fleetwood at home

There is only 2 home friendlies presumably to allow the new pitch time to settle.

Excellent selection of pre season games. Good to move away from the usual Burnley and Blackburn games for me. Maybe a game v Hamilton which would bring a good following from North of the Border and encourage some to spend a few days in the town.

Always good for the town and the club coffers when we play home games against Scottish sides. I think it's been mooted before, but a mini cup series against 2 Scottish sides over a long weekend in July would bring a lot of fans down. 3 games in 3 days - not sure how the new pitch would fare, but definitely worth thinking about maybe next season?

Will Joey Barton’s first game in charge of Fleetwood be against Morecambe?

Or maybe not.....??

Bolton players travelled to St Mirren on Saturday for a pre season game but then went immediately on strike over unpaid wages and the game was called off ... :o

Posted on the Kendal Town FC Facebook page...

Unfortunately Thursday's game between Kendal Town v Morecambe XI
Has been postponed.
The extreme hot weather has put the pitch work behind schedule. The club have done as much as they could to get the game on but unfortunately it's unsafe to play.

So Lancaster off, Kendal off and potentially Bolton off if they don't get their wages stuff sorted.

Jim could do with a bit of luck now in his pre-season preparations.

Lancaster City have sent a Tweet out this morning asking for prospective new opponents for Saturday for an away match away from The Huge Chopper or on a neutral venue.
