Signs from Donny for the season. Was the next big thing a couple of seasons ago. We must be chucking some money at it.

He was instrumental in their promotion season a couple of years ago, scores a few, but had injuries, so maybe good for both parties.

Hey, Doncaster fan in peace. Mandeville is a frustrating player. So much talent, can play striker or Number 10, decent finisher and quality technique which ended up winning him EFL Young Player of the Month a couple year back as he spent a month or so destroying teams. The downside is he only puts in the performances when he can be arsed and some weekday nights he's out getting pissed, too much of a student mentality. When he plays he looks like he's knackered after about 15 mins, not sure if the lifestyle contributes. He fell out with Fergie last season, Fergie says it was because he wasn't banging down his door wanting to get in the team, so he dropped him completely but some people reckon Mandeville's attitude caused it. He ended up out on loan for the second half of last season at Colchester but only played about twice. Fergie put him on the transfer list at the end of the season, along with Mitchell Lund and since Fergie's gone and McCann's come in, McCann has evaluated the players on the transfer list and deemed him surplus to requirements but surprisingly Lund's been taken off the transfer list despite rarely featuring for you guys!

So overall, if you can get him to grow the f*ck up then you have someone who can easily play at a higher level and Championship/lower Premier League teams had a brief look at. If you get the other Mandeville then he's pointless and wont be playing professionally in a few years.

Thanks for that, hope it's the former and not the latter, if he's another lead swinger He won't last long with Jim.

A partnership up front, how would that be :)

Cranston bursting up the left, Liam coming in from the right Oswell banging 25 goals in... its coming home

Different pressure on Jimbo this season, I feel

Thanks Donnyfan, had a great do at your place
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Sounds like a certain Mr Brodie. Hopefully Jim and we as fans can make this talented young lad feel at home.

Agree about the pressure on Jim. He can no longer plead poverty and has to get the best out of these higher profile signings. Credit to Jim though for getting these lads through the door.

Welcome to the Shrimps Liam, there are a lot of reasons to feel positive about this season, a fresh look to the squad, a new pitch, financial assurances from the new guys who seem to be approachable and sincere, I genuinely sense a "feel good" factor around the club, so hopefully it's a good time to come here, I'd also like to wish Jim well in what I feel will be a defining season for him as a manager.

I agree with Mr Potato Head that this is a huge season for the manager. It was clear at the meeting with the new owners that they have ambitions for the club and League 1 was mentioned. The new players being brought to the club suggest they are backing the manager. He now has to deliver. Wallowing near the foot of the table would not be seen as success.

Welcome to the Globe Arena Liam. Let's hope you bang some goals in and see us at the right end of the League this season.

Certainly some goalscorers available to Jim now with Liam , Rhys Oates , Jason Oswell , James Sinclair ,Kevin Ellison and maybe Lamin Jagne and Mendes-Gomes will chip in with some.
