You ACTUALLY expect what comes out of the new owners and boardroom to be believed on here? Most on here know more about the club than the club itself does!! :D :D

The key word to focus on here is “modest”. That could mean Jim has been given enough money to get one extra senior pro. It doesn’t mean his budget has been doubled like some people are carrying on.

Who said anything about doubled? It is more than he had last season so it is an increased budget? The list of signings and their clubs they came from...kind of what you would expect from a small Northern League 2 club isn't it? Be very surprised to see us plucking stars out of the Champ' and higher League 1 clubs.

Jim wont have been given an open cheque book , i suspect he'll be getting what he was getting a few seasons ago or when he first took over after Sammy at best.

It’s increased yes, is it increased enough to warrant raised expectations? I doubt it.

We have kept the spine of our great defence from last season, replaced AJ and brought in an excellent LB. Tutte in for Rose and a few other tweaks to add to that.
We certainly seem to have gone for attacking options this time, so yes, if the defence can keep up its good work, I would certainly Expect an improvement on goals scored and an extra 20+ would do nicely.

Modest increase for me will be between £20K and £60K

Match report and photos from the Bolton site. Sounds as though it was a competitive game which was not the usual pre season fare. Highlights are on our own OWS.

I see from the highlights we had a number 17 , presumably Liam Mandeville was the one indicated at the Gala Evening as the League 1 midfielder who would wear that shirt.

That's the one, hopefully when Parceldave gets his shirt at the end of the season it won't be stained with beer :)

It was just a blank space on the sponsors board , so thought i would just fill in one of the blanks and make the board look respectable . I got luck last season with Sam Lavelle but his bladdy shirt is a bit of a tight fit . So maybe i got lucky again if this guy can stay focused on his game . ;)

Although our game at Chorley today was cancelled due to Chorley's pitch being unfit due to the dry weather we are still playing Chorley in a behind closed doors game at Fleetwood's training ground.
A few minutes ago we went 2-0 up with goals from Oates and Old.
