Personally, i think it would be better without it, when it never seems to be updated regularly

Or at least a brand new, more noticeable one, WITHOUT Bench branding on it.

Ideally an electronic digital one that could be controlled from somebody in the office with weekly recognition of the match sponsor. Cost a bit but a long term proposition and of added value for the match day and club sponsors.

To be fair its not a big deal walking to the end of the road just to change the exsting details , i do agree the board needs updating which would be at little cost.
Dont think it would go amiss getting someone to strim the area the board is sat on , would make for a more professional look to the entrance

Would it be for indoor use or outdoor?

Okay maybe it is time to start to e-mail the club and our new owners about these things, that is what they were saying at the forum.lets see what we can do and see if we can get a response on issues like this.

The board needs pulling down. It looks terrible sat on that big mound of wasteland. An electric board with sponsors being flashed up all day every day. I believe some bus stops in the area will have this technology shortly.

All for that approach BUT who do we e mail our suggestions to. We know from past experience that e mails are sometimes never replied to. It would be good if fans could have an e mail address to approach the owners directly because I'm sure that they would welcome suggestions such as the external approach board. For myself I'd like to know if the United Utilities work on the car parks is complete and if not will it be by the first home game of the new season?

New owners can be found on facebook quite easily and they did say they wanted suggestions etc.So maybe it is time to tell them which things need addressing. They want to build the fan base of the club, but as yet nothing much seems to be happening to do that!

Perhaps we could copy Accrington, where fans have open dialogue with the owner on social media!

The fact that clubs in the non-leagues and even the north west counties are better at maintaining their boards outside the ground is not only strange but down right embarrassing.

I always remember, for example, the board outside Hilton Park (Leigh RMI) always's regularly maintained for next games for both the rugby AND football clubs.

Lancaster City do it.

Barrow do it.

Kendal Town do it.

Even Garstang (newly elected to the North West Counties League) do it.

AND even Carnforth Rangers........!! (not that they'll be on that ground for much longer, sadly)

What's so sad about this topic is that we've been here before but the problem still remains. I still maintain that it should be on the list of 'things to do' by an employee of the club.

Surely this is a great investment opportunity. Electronic signage which can not only promote the activities of the club but also be used to sell 24/7 advertising for local and/or national companies. It then serves a dual purpose of being a revenue stream as well as pleasing the fans.

When I walked down to the club shop yesterday afternoon (via the estate and main entrance as the back gate is fenced off), it looked nowhere near done. All the car park is fenced off and without tarmac and there are pipes stacked up in numerous places, so I assume it might be ready for 11th August if they get a wriggle on!

Presume lots of signs up about the three month (?) closure of Westcliffe Drive? Announced at the Shrimps Trust AGM.

This will obviously have a big knock on effect for match day parking and just getting to the ground.
