Accy's Kayden Jackson

Accy's Kayden Jackson

By the sounds of it, he's on his way to Ipswich for a 7 figure sum. If true then Accy will be able to build at the very least some new loos. Also goes to show that if you have faith in younger players who may not have succeeded elsewhere but are given a chance at a new club then you can cash in when it comes to transfers. I've feeling that we've got at least a couple of good prospects within our first team squad who could provide a financial life line in a few seasons if not sooner.

The secret is identifying the right prospect and then giving 2 or 3 years contract........but you can come unstuck.

a 7 figure some should at easily get some toilets and Roofing for that sort of money and get 2 or 3 quotes off Builders, play em against each other for a good price.

unlike just going to Globe Construction, and going Hello, here's a Large some of Money..

Accy have had at least three offers over £1.75m, the figure they rejected originally from Ipswich. Now looks like £2 million, which is over a year’s income for them and a great return. If you watch his highlights video there is the potential to go a lot further and for Accy to pick up a decent sell on fee too.

The fee for Donacien hasn’t been released either, rumours of up to 700k for him. So that’s well over 2mill coming to them if true!!

Accy forum reckon it's £1.6 millionaire plus a sell on clause of 20%. I think the truth is that nobody other than the Accy Owner and possibly Coley will know the exact figures. Very much like what goes on within our Boardroom despite claims otherwise and that's the way it should be.

No Neil, it is completely different. Accy’s Chairman is completely open on the detail. All the information is things Andy Holt has said himself. The deal is £1.6 million now with basic add-ons, such as appearances, taking the figure to £2 million.

His openness on everything is very refreshing, from updates on construction works to a very extensive debate with fans, staff and other clubs on how to fix queues at home end at half time. Probably fixed in a week what it took us four years to fix.

Here’s a good example:

“Re @KaydenJackson14 the truth is I have told him he can go this window. Believe it or not the determining factor was my wife who said “what would you want to happen if he was our lad?”
Maybe we need to reconsider our approach of being a stepping stone as we progress.”

You’re adulation for PMG knows no bounds but being treated like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed shit - isn’t actually the norm these days at many football clubs.

No. The Board are always banging on about how it's a community club, and don't forget that radio advert: "it's our club, be part of it". The way that The Board have treated supporters over the past few years has been absolutely disgraceful. Yes, of course there are things which are genuinely commercially confidential and any right minded supporter knows that. But The Board have taken secrecy, misinformation, and treating fans like mushrooms to a whole new level. Exciting plans have been announced which only an idiot would believe were actually likely to happen and which were no more than wishful thinking. A "three year plan" to break even was announced which again proved to be completely false, being followed by 3 years of ever increasing losses and no sign whatsoever of anything changing. Sensible suggestions as to improvements have fallen on deaf ears or been rejected out of hand for no obvious reason. As has been proved many times, the supporters are out there waiting to help out (Jim's fine, higher attendances at some key matches, etc) but there needs to be respect between The Board and the fans, and better communication is the catalyst to that happening. And yes, I know that "some" Board members try their best to communicate and engage with fans, and some have resigned because they didn't like the way the Board was run, but I'm talking about The Board as a whole, and particularly whoever is the guy in actual control.

Let's just say that we disagree on this matter. I still maintain that matters concerning finance and in this case transfer fees should remain confidential and in the Boardroom. I'm all for openness but certain things in my opinion have no place in the public domain. Time to move on I think as we will never agree on this.

A friend of mine has recently been in touch with the club regarding a tribute to a fan who recently died. The club didn't respond to his initial emails. He tried for a 3rd time, this time leading with a request for hospitality in the hope of getting a response, he did but only regarding the hospitality. He was given a different email address send a message to, his emails have been ignored again.

He's a local and a big football fan but doesn't go to games. I don't think this will sway him in any way.

The Ipswich site have confirmed the fees involved for both recent signings from Accy. An excellent bit of business which will allow Accy to improve its facilities. However I'm surprised that they have brought Andy Mangan back on board from Bala Town, some 12 years after he played for Stanley last time.
