draw ticket/programme sellers/sponsors

Postby al1 » Sat Aug 11, 2018 8:35 pm

To me it seems that the ticket and programme sellers do not really try to sell anything, they are too busy watching the game or just out for a jaunt as if going down the promenade.I realise they are probably volunteers, but they really should be trying harder. Also just wondering why once again The Visitor and Rod are matchday/ball sponsors, are we unable to attract new sponsors?

 Having a go at volunteers now  I wonder how many would be sold if we didn't bother.

And yes, I did swallow the bait.

I had to shout to get the attention of the halftime draw sellers when they walked past us> They were watching the game not even looking to see if anyone wanted a ticket!!! Then had to shout him back to sell a ticket to the person standing next to me wanting to buy one. Ok they are volunteers, but they have volunteered to do something so do it! :x

I have heard that there were pie and beer supply problems in the home end yesterday, does not sound good, low customer satisfaction on all fronts! I thought that new owners wanted to grow the home support, well it is not going to happen when we can not get things right on or off the field.I believe the 'Trust' were to meet with our new owners before the game, any news on this please?

Saw 2 youngsters outside the players entrance entrance trying to sell the small cards showing the fixtures for the season for 20p. Not sure how many they had sold but they soon scarpered when challenged by this Mr Nasty!

:o

The prgaramme sellers in my opinion do a great job and get there 2 hours before kick off. They are volunteering, and of course, yes, they want to watch the game, as, like us are fans! Surely after giving up there free time a little bit more respect should be given. ("Trying their hardest not to sell programmes"). One stands outside the turnstisle gate with an hour before KO, at the omega pre-sold ticket one.

Thank you, I like to think so, we sold over 90% of our allocation of programs on Saturday. That's why the Mrs and I (although we're not kids) will be trying our hardest to sell programs and half time draw tickets again next Tuesday night.

How about yourself? ;)
