If that is the case the only managerial changes at clubs would be through retirement, resignation, disciplinary action or ill health as no one would get dismissed through poor results and the team not performing. I hate this ‘no money, no replacement’ lark... There would be managers jumping at this job if it were available to, firstly: get back into a job, secondly: try to prove that they can rescue a sinking ship to advertise themselves to bigger clubs and, thirdly: I’m sure Jim isn’t on a small wage...

If the owners have any interest in the club, they surely would’ve noticed by now that Jim isn’t (and hasn’t been for the last few years!) performing at a high enough level to make this club a true league two level club.

Gregory is cashing it in in India as is Sheringham and Curle was chased out of deepest darkest Cumbria. Would we want that kind of manager?

There are 4 brackets of managers to choose from in my opinion:

(1) Existing FL league managers out of work: eg/ Keith Curle.
(2) Plucking a good manager from non-league with no FL experience: eg/ Gary Flitcroft.
(3) Bringing in a club legend who knows the club from within the coaching staff: eg/ Stewart Drummond.
(4) Taking a chance on a big ex-pro looking to begin their career: eg/ Joey Barton Fleetwood.

Can someone please explain the assumption the club has no money. A company has had enough money to buy it so is it now assumed that the company is skint and is sleeping rough as it cannot afford the rent. An investment company surely has money to invest so I am sure it will be found if need be.

As much as I still back Jim and believe he’ll turn it around, there may come a point where the money argument will be irrelevant if results don’t improve.

If we’re rock bottom of the table by Christmas and we could only offer £200 per week to a new incoming manager then we will have to take what we can get for £200 per week - yes we won’t be able to appoint anybody with experience but as I say if we’re rock bottom then surely there’s nothing to lose.

Hi @ £7.83 per hour as minimum wage for a 40 hour week that’s £313 per week. So need to cough up an extra £100 on top of your £200 per week for a job seeker. Could be part time I suppose.
