Sorry but the players are to blame and it's about time they took some responsibility. We had chances to score and didn't take any of them. Can't blame the manager for that. And before anyone goes on about Oliver again I'm talking about all our forward attacking players who were on the pitch long enough to make an impact. The exception would be Oswell who came on for the last 5 minutes.

Totally agree broadwayshrimp. We had countless chances not taken again.Decision making in final 3rd.Pass when we should shoot, shoot when we should pass, taking an extra touch.Lack of confidence an issue i.m.o.

The players missing the chances were signed by the manager and a striker with a goal ratio of one every fifteen matches is still being selected!

Chucking on Striker after Striker in the hope of somehow grabbing a goal is not really the answer. You could have covered 3 strikers in the last 10 mins with a beer mat they were that close to one another. Rather than clogging the middle of the park up and playing in to the team with 10 men hands, why didn't we try and stretch the game and push down the flanks?

I thought the lads put in a good shift but were let down by poor tactics and use of subs. Same old.

The players have to accept responsibility for what happens on the pitch but something happened in my opinion at half time which saw our team come out with little fight, thought or determination to win v 10 men. Manderville was a shadow of the player who had control of the game in the first 45 and was a lonesome figure stuck out on the wing. I've said it before, but we need a system that fits the players not the players in a system that they don't like or are incapable of understanding. Talk of sacking the management team and suggesting that they have 2 games left is easy but given the finances of the club it's not a decision to be taken lightly as any compensation due to the manager and his assistant would cripple us. It could also be said that relegation to the National League would also cripple us. I can't see Jim and Co calling it a day themselves so I suspect that the Board will continue to have faith in Jim and hope that our run of crap results will come to an end sooner or later. It's not as though we are playing badly but it's a result based business and unless players put it right on the field then our future in the EFL could be coming to an end. The cast may have changed but the Director still remains. For me both the cast and Director need to look at themselves and their ideas and ask serious questions about their abilities to get us out of yet another relegation battle.

Just trying to decipher another self indulgent post from you.

What happened at half time? What ever happened must have been the Manager's doing as he in charge of the team talk? So he is to blame?

The players must do more so they are also to blame?

The new owners and the Board aren't doing anything so they are also to blame?

How do you know the club can't afford to sack Jim?

When performances and results drop, the blame HAS to go to the management... If the players were always to blame, Jim would’ve sorted these results out by now, but no, he cannot manage game situations and he cannot do simple tactics and strategies and his man management is awful when you look at how disorganised the team is and how the players don’t seem to know what the plan is...
There’s a reason why this is, it is because there is NO organisation and NO plan...

Jim has GOT TO GO! There are no reasons to keep him on, we will certainly be relegated if he stays, and that is what this management team deserves if they can’t improve!!
Absolutely useless not to be able to get anything from yesterday. And before people say playing vs 10 men is harder, no it isn’t, Jim had the opportunity to try and stretch Swindon to expose space, but still, Swindon looked like the most likely to score, even after taking off on of their strikers in place of a defender!

Completely agree, Jim has to take responsiblitiy for these results, because the players have tried their hardest in very limiting situations and tactics...
When a team starts getting bad results, it always ends up in the manager getting sacked, unlike here, where we have our perfect man for the job who will forever be ‘mr Morecambe fc’ and anyone who criticised him, is suddenly a traitor, and a non-supporter of the club.

Absolutely disgraceful from the management team, another poor Jim interview, surely he has FINALLY GOT TO GO to save our club! He is DRAGGING US DOWN!

There is no point in trying to argue the point about Jim dividing the fans. The self proclaimed majority know everything, spend loads of money and support 37 different clubs. The hundreds that have stopped coming and the disgruntled few on here clearly know nothing and should go and support AFC Fylde.

Jim has become bigger than the club. The notion of sacking him is far worse than the thought of non league obscurity and all the implications that come with that. People imply that we are lucky to have Jim. As a person, player and Manager he has been an credit to himself and family. Nobody on here would say otherwise. The fans have also been very good to him and unlike most clubs, he has never been a scapegoat or turned on personally. As a well paid professional manager, he has under performed for too long and should be moved on. If I could be arsed, I would put up his performance as manager since last Xmas and would like to see how that merits giving him to this Xmas. Like I say, I can't be arsed.

The fact is whether you agree with Jim's tactics or not we did create chances yesterday but once again we didn't take them. How can that be the managers fault. He can't put the ball in the back of the net for them. It's time the players grew a pair and took responsibility. I just hope the strikers are staying behind after training to improve their technique.

1 goal scored at home in 7 league games!
surely the board can see why the fan base has died! who wants to carry on spending over £20 on a Saturday afternoon to watch garbage football. Jim Bentley needs to go. he should have been moved on 4 years ago.

The management team have I believe circa 18 months left on their existing contracts. IF the Board sack them they will I assume be due some compensation. How will the club be able to afford that when we are struggling financially already? Some seem to know all that goes on within the Boardroom so maybe they and their moles could tell us how any settlement would be funded.

So by the time his contract expires (if he isn't given another one by pmg) we will be heading for conference north! Great idea of forward thinking

Perhaps giving the management a 2-year contract extension last season when on a run of 2 wins in 12 was a bad idea? The cost of sacking him now due to that mind-boggling extension would probably be over £120k.

I said after the Crewe game blind faith in Bentley would cost us, my opinion hasn't changed. If he wasn't a former captain he'd have gone long ago.

Is the 120k just for Jim or are you including Mr McKenna ? I don't think all the blame can be on the managers shoulders !

Someone is already putting around £500k per year into the club to cover the losses, so they may think a bit more to pay off the manager may well be worth it if it means they have to put in less in future years (i.e. if the club starts succeeding and income starts to rise thus reducing the losses in future).

Would the BoD not negotiate some sort of severance clause in to a Managers contract or do you think they have total faith in Jim/Ken and never contemplating sacking him? You would like to think they protected the club and did but on recent showings, you wouldn't be surprised if they have left themselves open for a large expense.

It is barmy that in a profession like Football, you get financially rewarded for being rubbish at your job.

For once we can agree on that. Millions can be made by high profile managers for subsequent failure. It's one of the few professions where the sack is almost a given for any manager at some stage in their career. Not surprising so many former players want to move into management. Even at out level managers can make a wee bit of money but not enough to secure a long term retirement.

But even all that money isn't enough for those who cheat the tax system but get away with just a slap on the wrist.
