Lancaster City.

Five wins since Christmas, including one I think on New Year’s Eve.

And what has happened to their manager, He stepped down! I would like to see Jim do the same thing.

And Shrimps Blinkhorn and Stanners are caretakers. Interesting to see that Stanners is now playing as a central defender.

Reading some City fans on Twitter they are less than impressed with Stanners and have been tweeting "Get out of our club" and other such tweets along the same lines....

Yes , I think Chelsea Billy is not one of Stanner's biggest fans !

I would have thought he was still better than NPL standard.

3 weeks ago SV's were buzzing with excitement after playing well and beating Northampton. Next came Oldham where the majority were happy with how the team played even though we lost. Poor game at Bury. Oldham next and again most SV's were saying we played well though we lost. At Carlisle we played well and deserved something. This Saturday everyone seems to agree we played badly.

I make that 6 games in 3 weeks. 1 we played well and won, 3 we played well and lost and 2 where we played badly.

I agree that not scoring goals is of massive impotence but so far as how the team has played, the last 6 games does not appear to me to have been that bad!

I'm sorry but any other club would have sacked him a long time ago. The question why is jim still in charge?.

You know exactly why Jim is still in charge. You simply disagree with those reasons.

You say "Massive Gulf in managerial nous" in respect of Jim Bentley and Phil Brown on Saturday. Jim has come up against Brown on several occasions as opposing managers and in general Jim's record is very good particularly when Brown was at Southend.

I thought a factor in our defeat was the organisation and togetherness of Swindon, something that generally comes from the manager. They were incredibly well coordinated with their press, knowing exactly when to stand off and when to hit us. Shape was kept very well too once they came back out after half time. Not really a fan of Phil Brown but he evidently did a good job at half time on Saturday as they were a mess for the 10 mins preceding it when their player got sent off.

Perhaps he's a manager best at playing the underdog. When he was at Southend with 11 men on the pitch, they were 'on paper' the favourite for pretty much every meeting. Maybe being under the cosh for 60 mins with 10 men kind of suited him?

In the last 25 games there are only 2 teams that have a worse points return than ourselves: Stoke (19) and Reading (17). We have 20 points from our last 25 games. Huddersfield have 21.
