Whatever you think of Jim's style/tactics etc this is a shoddy way to treat a guy who has devoted so much time to the club over the years. One can only assume there is some truth in this and the owners should have had the balls to discuss the situation with Jim first.

How can any of us expect openness with the fans when they keep Jim in the dark.

To quote JB "because we have lost a couple of games".Bit of an understatement I think!

Have a look at the Kevin Keegan/Dennis Wise situation if you want to see how this could end up.

Whatever anyone thinks about the management over the last few months you have to feel for this guy. He must be gutted at the moment. Let's hope we can win on Sat and move further clearer of the drop zone.

just when there is a sense of stability within the club something else raises its ugly head.
Dont know what sort of wage Ince would command but it wouldnt be peanuts and what qualifications does he have to become a "Director of football".

As Jim says, we don't even have a full time kitman.

Money would be better spent elsewhere than on Ince.

Totally agree. I personally feel that Ince/other as DOF is not the answer. Let’s see how the next few games play out for JB first.

Changes are long overdue, something has to be done to try to get 'lost' supporters back!

My main argument with that is that there are ways of doing it. Jim should have been talked to before this got into the public domain.

More likely to alienate the few remaining :(

So how did that work out then?

Can't help but feel that the new owners ultimately want Ince has manager and are hoping that Jim will resign because he can't work with a Director of Football. Saves having to pay Jim off.

If we hadn't had such a poor year on the pitch, I doubt this situation would even be being considered!

Director of Football?! Did we make it to the Premier league when I wasn’t looking.

Either something sinister is going on here or our new owners have delusions of grandeur.

Yes, but he would have a fantastic constructive dismissal claim!

See my previous comment about Dennis Wise. Forcing out a manager isn't cheap.

Same sort of blinkered view that made Mick McCarthy walk at Ipswich. Now look at them.
