As for the clamour for Ince, it's been handled badly, if it has come from the new blokes, add this on to the Karius tweet and it's pretty low behaviour. Unsubtle and devious at best.
And as for the usual suspects liking the idea as it gets rid of Jim, no surprise.

Apart from making the right noises at meetings, we have seen nothing concrete from this takeover, for me. That's not to say it won't happen, but my suspicions are that the long game these chaps are playing doesnt involve us as a working football club.
If you want Jim out so badly you are refusing to see it, fair enough, but take a hard look at the background, the evidence and the actions and be careful what you wish for!

You paint a very grim picture Freez but you may well be right.

There is no need to turn this in to a you are either with us or you are against us scenario. I am not privy to the info you lot are and just take it on face value. It has gone from Paul Ince coming in as a Director of Football to Jim being stabbed in the back to the new owners building houses on cheap Lancashire land in 6 posts.

There isn't a clamour for Ince or a street party planned for Jim's departure, stop with your fake news and over reactions. I just looked at it as a supporter, not somebody in the know or somebody suckling on a Directors teet. Don't get upset if we don't know as much as you and just speculate as Football supporters do.

Errrrrr, not exactly.

Read his managerial record and full detail here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Ince#As_a_manager

Also lets not forget, he received a "Stadium Ban" (not a touchline ban, a STADIUM ban) when he was in charge of Blackpool due to his conduct with match officials.

Paul Ince ? No thanks...............................

Ok, for the sake of you taking the time to post this, let us have a look.

Ince has managed 6 clubs. He has a record of played 238 games, won 98, drawn 54 and lost 86. This gives him a win ratio of 41.2%. I would say that is decent, wouldn't you?

Jim has been in charge of 373 games, he has won 109, drawn 100 and lost 164. His win ratio is 29.2%. Just something for you to compare it against.

Do you have to react like a spoilt child to anyone who has an alternative view to yourself Berlin Waller.
I don't know anything that isn't available to anyone with a bit of digging or asking questions, but don't let that stop you whining on again will you.
I am just stating my opinion, based on what I have learned. Grow up. It's all out there, open your eyes.

You are the one telling everyone what should happen, It's my opinion that I think there is more to this than meets the eye, I haven't any idea what that is but carry on with your wild ideas of what I mean, but that ain't it. I don't know anymore than you, on the evidence we all have, to me, it doesn't look positive.

There is no news, it's an opinion, so cut the over reaction and fake news bullshit, there is no hysteria apart from in your closed mind.
I'm hope I'm way off the mark, I seriously do.

And as for the cheap shot re sucking on the teet, you really do dish it out but when someone gives it you back you are screaming for admin to do something?
I do a volunteer job on matchday, whoop de doo, lets all take the piss. My what a big man you are?
I don't hide behind a pseudonym, either on here or on matchdays, come and talk to me like any another fan, coz that's all I am.

Allegedly, I was one of the fans spoken to and they never asked my opinion of Jim. Has anyone spoken to said they were asked?

marky no 1 said they asked for thoughts on the management and how they thought it was going...

Yes i did Chris, the owners came over at Crawley, spoke to probably 5 fans, cause thats as far as they got, banged the drum, in the meantime my mate Southend Pete had a chat for quite a few minutes, he came over and told me they were asking him questions about the management

I know the club haven't come forward with any information for the supporters regarding Incegate ( which is normal) but I hope they have spoken to Jim,Ken, players etc as this can only have a negative effect on all things football . And we don't need that !

The fact that Jim Bentley was as surprised, and obviously concerned as the rest of us is a total shocker, I think any promises of openness at the Q&A session were obviously weasel words and we are in for another rough ride, I always try and pass on anything I hear about the club on here because I think fans should be informed, not to be a smart arse, and I will continue to do so, incorporating my hilarious trademark humour when appropriate.

To be fair to Jim, he is correct, we do not need a DOF, but what we DO need is a new manager!!

What’s the point in a ‘Director of Football’ when we have such a limited playing budget and no money to implement any changes a DoF might want to put in place?

It just sounds like hiring an expensive Management Consultant to oversee a child’s lemonade stand - totally over the top and disproportionate to the size and type of club we are.

Or...

A mate of a mate of a mate drops the 'non-story' in to the laps of a few football reporters. Phil Space is having a quiet day so runs with it. Ince is happy because he gets his name in the papers. We end up with some publicity in the national papers, working on the basis of 'the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about'. No-one from the club says anything because it is a non-story. Ince says nothing because it is a non-story. But neither deny it either because it's good to be talked about?

Perhaps?

Not convinced myself either!

Just trying to consider all alternatives?

Sadly, I think the 'drive Jim out' is the most likely scenario, which if that is the case, surely everyone would agree it is really shabby, regardless their opinion of Jim as our manager, he certainly deserves better. It certainly doesn't help him or reduce the pressure.

The journo that broke the story (Alan Nixon) told me that the owners had "run the idea of a Football Director past Jim and Kenny" a couple of weeks back.
To me the next few games are really pivotal. Grimsby , Cheltenham and Tranmere. If after those we find ourselves on 12 , 13 or even 15 points then all this talk about Ince etc will be soon forgotten. On the otherhand if they were all to go into the already large L column then this rumour will re-surface.
