Of course as per previous resignations of local directors under PMG - Graham Hodgson, Stuart Forrest, Mark Hallam, Stephen Wright, Nigel Adams, and now Mike Hinchcliffe and David Brockbank - no one will explain why.

Another local name, David Derham ? Did he serve under PMG too ?

Can't remember for sure.

I think he must have done , Dave was certainly on the board in the last 10 years or so.

I really can't see any way this is good news for us as a club. The reasons have been more than covered.

I really hope the Shrimps Trust are able to put pressure on the owners to answer some very pertinent questions. The Trust has done great to open up these channels, and now is the most important time to use them to full effect. I feel it's probably going to be a very busy time for the Trustees who are part of that dialogue. I'd like to thank them in advance for their time and efforts as it's so crucial for us as supporters.

Dave Derham and Stuart Redman were listed as Directors in 2001, in the days of Jim Bowen as President

I really want to believe that this is nothing more than the two Directors relinquishing their Directorships having served their club in terms of time and financially that they can no longer afford either. However the suspicious side of me feels that their is more to this than meets the eye and until the owners provide us with more information the suspicions will increase which will encourage speculation and rumour about the real reasons for these resignations.



Fans have asked the question numerous times as to why PMcG remains as Chairman. My understanding is that the new owners specifically requested Peter to stay as Chairman in part due to his football knowledge but also for his dealings with other club Chairmen having been Chairman of our club possibly longer than any other EFL 2 Chairman.

With all due respect to said man....the club has lost money for years and assets have been sold off to keep the wolf from the door under his chairmanship....so new owners come along ...and duly retain a chairman whos stewardship has put us in a parlous position.


This can only lead to failure.

Jason and Colin are intelligent qualified professionals, so are you saying they have appointed knowing there will be failure, having lent the Club money via a loan company they own and if it doesn't get its payments back will take control of the assets

I am saying that if I bought a failing company with a view to improving it, I would either run it myself , or put someone new in charge as opposed someone who had tried, and failed to make a go of it, but I'm obviously not as clever and successful as some

It is baffling to say the least, I was expecting a sgnt major type general manager coming in rocking the boat and throwing some grenades around to shake the job up - instead - nothing and it carries on the same as before and no doubt still losing £10K a week

to play devils advocate I would say ..they already control the assets anyway...and the whole thing is worth more as a football league club than any thing else!!

Ultimately, they can't build on the Christie Trust land. Unfortunately, the Trust land appears to be much less than I thought it would be when we moved to Westgate.

The point regarding the Christie Trust land seems to have been forgotten by a growing number of here.
There is no way that they would be able to use the land for development and I'm amazed that certain individuals keep persisting with this threat.

Unless you transfer the covenant to somewhere else, like they did from Christie?? Are we so Naive that we don't think that could be done again to a field in Middleton where we have to start again??
