Trevor Kettle is a dreadful referee. He is always BIASED against us.

I rarely say that a ref is a cheat, but this guy is.

Time added on, we get a free-kick. Their player throws the ball away. Clear, straight forward, yellow card. Kettle doesn't book him, instead, spends thirty seconds calling him over and talking to Mullin. Then doesn't add the time on at the end of time added!!! Referee actually wasted more time than their player.

In play or out? His hand being that high, the only excuse for not being a penalty is if it was already out of play. Otherwise, it couldn't be any clearer.

Once again lineman’s missies a clear foul and they score 1-3

It is an absolute disgrace. Mandeville was fouled in almost the same place as the one that they scored from, not given. Just watched it again, definite foul. They then go and score. It was ten yards from the linesman who gave the foul in the first half.

Cheating twats.

That was 56 seconds for the throw in when they were time wasting. Will it be added on do you think?

Bloody typical. Oliver quite possibly MotM and he gets injured and has to go off!

Interested to know - Oliver has taken a lot of flack, but if he has actually put in a good shift (and scored of course), did he get a good reception when he went off?

Don't deserve this but that was a fantastic goal. Great run from their lad who pulled the ball back superbly and it was a lovely shot in to the top corner.

So with a goal plus appreciation ................... who knows?

Gutted at the result but it sounds as though it was great entertainment and everyone put in a good shift. At least we have started scoring goals now. Whatever Jose Mourinho is doing at Old Trafford (such as losing the dressing room), I think it's fair to say that J.B. is not doing here. Thank goodness.

Linesman is having a shocker

I've watched it again, Conlon was looking at their player, not the ball, then stepped in to check the player. I think if he's trying to play or control the ball then fair enough, but he only had eyes on their player.

BUT, the foul on our lad that wasn't given, directly before they scored, was a similar amount of contact. What should have been an attacking free-kick for us turned in to an attack and goal for them.

We played really, really well. Didn't deserve that.

Great game, end to end stuff, could if gone either way in the last 10mins, Tranmere looked burnt out, but then their pacy L/B made a brilliant run took to the ball to the byline(Mills couldnt catch him) then he played a neat ball to a team mate running into the box who hit it first time into the top corner.

The Lads played with passion, Shout outs to Lavelle, Mandiville, Smith and nice to see Olivier get a goal put in a good shift.

From Tranmere's 'White Review' forum...

Clear handball by Banks in his own area. Got lucky there..

So even their fans admit it was a penalty.

Trevor Kettle has ALWAYS been dreadful when refereeing us, giving us nothing, giving the opposition everything. If he was incompetent then the decisions would balance out, but they don't. With the linesmen on both sides failing to give us clear decisions that could have dramatically changed the game, this wasn't a case of losing 3-4 to eleven, or even twelve, it was Morecambe v fourteen.
