Yawn all you like Peter's child , but don't be surprised if you get flak for it, Posh is right , the facilities for the majority of our fans are embarrassing , the away end is also a joke, your hero Peter has done nothing about things apart from his token, walkabout , at a match several years ago with his then ,General manager, the promises about improvement have become an annual lie, followed by crap excuses.

I have always used the excellent facilities the big house with the rest of the pigs, because the alternative in the rest of "animal farm" is unappealing and contributes hugely to our lack of fans.

I agree with Lee.

It’s easy to ignore the massive weight of the debate and feel sleepy in the comfort of your C Prem seat, while the plebs stand in the pouring rain queuing 15 minutes for a pint or pie that may or not be there when you get to the front and the second half is under way.

I agree that the facilities in the former Omega Stand are poor, that's not my point. I just feel that to repeatably keep going over and over the same concerns are now getting tedious and by the way I don't regard those loyal fans who have to put up with inadequate facilities as plebs, they are like many who watch the game from other areas the life and soul of our club.

I know I was also guilty of pocking a sharpened stick at Red Robo, and normally we let threads develop and meander, but in this instance, it is worth keeping on topic, because it is an important one and there are plenty of other threads about the second class facilities at The Globe.

However, the reason for raising it was that the poor treatment of disabled away fans at Carlisle is as easily resolved as other problems that all fans face at grounds, it depends on the will of owners and their mentality towards their fellow human beings. If they’ve got money then spend it to solve these problems or if they haven’t to work with fans and the community to solve them.

The brilliant work Roger has done to shine a light on this issue should be picked up now by Supporters Trusts and Supporters Direct to ensure adequate disabled facilities at both ends for home and away fans. But it should also go further and continue to raise issues over pricing, food quality and prices, stewarding and the state of facilities. In the age of austerity it does feel like the progress made post-Hillsbrough to enhance the fan experience and treat them respectfully are going backwards (in some cases).

Maybe it’s time for a sub-group within the Shrimps Trust to pick up on this topic and actively encourage further improvement and grow the number of disabled fans.
