FA Cup 1st round Home to Halifax or Warrington

Not a easy draw whoever we get. Warrington have proved they can compete against league opposition from previous FA cup encounters. Halifax played in the conference and know it will be tough. Good draw at home but we need to make it count.

Well said. These sorts of ties worry me. We can not go out there thinking we've already won it.

As it is a cup game and everybody has to pay on the gate, I worry that fed up Season ticket holders may give it a swerve. Could the club make this a "fan day" or does that only apply to FL games? Yes the cup brings in important income but a good win and atmosphere would be a good shot in the arm for everyone.

A possible reduction in prices might (but knowing the public of Morecambe might not...) entice more in.

Bearing in mind of course that gate receipts I think are split and opposition clubs have to be consulted I guess.

I tend to agree with 'knowing the public of Morecambe might not', so what about "2 for 1"? i.e. Home fans bring a mate and two get in for the price of one - could double the home gate for the same expected income. There's been too many empty seats and plenty of space in the Ace Scoffold stand.

Or an alternative view is 2 mates who were going anyway get in for half price halving the expected income,
