Nigel is still a Director and Company Secretary

He was there a few weeks ago with Graham Hodgson and Stephen Wright. They are all very much fans, Wright & Lord sponsored the game only last week
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I will start by apologising for a few choice words. Hands up, yes I had had few... I am back off nights now, but that is no excuse. I took exception to the 'good riddance' comment and 'the reason the club is in the situation is because of fans like ‘Moose’.'.... ((the reason the Club is in the position it is - is because of fans like me!... and so many others.). That's what got me. How dare you say that...Sorry. Yes, I saw my arse and will hold my hands up, I was completely out of order. (I was a dick).
I am sorry for over reacting.
My overall complaint is that nothing has, or is! being done to get people like me back.
Again, hands up, I'd had had a few and was completely out of order.

Still think you are are a dick though MFCJOE for saying that... for people like myself, you can never say 'good riddance'. Sorry pal, I truly bit with that comment and really regret the choice words. But the Club HAS to listen to people like myself and hundreds of others.

Might have been... but at least I will admit and own up to being a complete cock. Still, meant what I was trying to put across though. Apologies to everyone I offended. Being told 'good riddance'... I truly bit...

There were things said on both sides which were unnecessary/unpleasant/unfortunate (delete as appropriate), but Moose's point about the club needing to engage with lost fans is right. Some things can't be changed and I do wish people would stop going on about the move from Christie Park, for example, but there are issues with the Globe which can be addressed, and in doing so the club could attract back lost fans like Moose. There will always be some who will never forgive the move and never come back just because of that - those people there is no point listening to,not because I think the move was necessarily absolutely the right thing to do, but purely because it can't be undone. Let's instead address those things that can be done and move forward, not live in the past.

However you obviously didn't like what happened following the move to the Globe and you decided to vote with your feet. Fair enough but that should be the end of it. It's up to the club to decide if they want to entice fans like you back to the ground but that's their problem not yours.
Chill.

Because I actually care! There are so many things that could be done so very differently! I stood watching the other side 'from the wall' for years and months. I would have loved a pint, but no, made do. Some days not even a pie for us, some days the kettle 'hadn't boiled yet!!!' Yes! Really!! We stood watching how good it could be if we had gone to 'the other side' - we voiced our complaints that is was worse than Christie's limited resources, but nothing happened for years.
I get uptight about the running of the Club because it could be so much better. Not all to do with the move, obviously that can't be reversed! But why do you you expect people like myself, to just ' put up with it' or go else where? We have all gone elsewhere! It's such a mad arguement! The 'let's not do anything and the good riddance' approach is bizarre!
Get rid of BT because people aren't stopping to watch... well, why not? It's simple! If you were on the high street competing for business there would be offers on. There would be incentives to keep people there. There would be alsorts going on after the game.
But no, nothing, nothing at all has changed. It's crap and too expensive compared to opposition and that's why people (fans) don't stay.
Excuses just don't run with me as to why things can't and haven't changed for years. Hence my complaint about the running of the Club. I run my own business and listen to my customers. A massive thing that the people in charge of running the various parts of the Club haven't done. (Once again, taking the football out of it). Why aren't you listening? It's bloody empty and not getting any better! you just keep plodding on like it's ok!!? It's madness and has no business sense at all.

Hope that answers you question. Not trying to be an arse, just saying it like it is.

Don't beat yourself up mate, been many a drunken rant on this forum. Easy to see that you care and are saddened at what the club became. I agree with everything you say buddy. You will need to up your game if you want to beat a rant from the late Ockers though.

Drink is an awful drug that one way or another ruins millions of lives directly or indirectly, it's ok in moderation ,but so is weed, or I suppose any other drug, most people think they are ok and drink moderately but that's easy to say, why?, coz they want to drink, most women cite drink as one of the reasons for their divorce, most assaults take place whilst drink is involved ,and a lot of "happy families" base their entire celebrations and holidays around drink, so sounding off on a chat site and getting berated for it isn't a big deal really.....oh, and it also causes premature death.

Good to see the references to Ockers. A shrimp man through and through, gone way too soon. I taught him at St Marys School when he was eight and he was an absolute delight. RIP Sean
