THERE'S ONLY ONE CHOICE

Hey here's a thought, how about you give some constructive input, so that the Club can build upon it and prosper? Or failing that, tell us all why it's so great and what we are all missing out on as well as why over a thousand of us have got it completelely wrong and left and you are right?
Or.... just quit the sarcasm and digs and let us crack on with some constructive thoughts and ideas and have a decent debate. I want the same result as you pal, you are just going about it the wrong way by having a go at people like myself.

Again, I hope Rod reads this, it's simple yet it's true... balls to the segregation. Shouldn't matter how much money you have, we are all on a par when it comes to our Club. Let's sort it and get some sort of atmosphere in the upstairs. Downstairs for away fans, upstairs home. Get more bar staff on if it's to be implemented or at least put to the test. We need new ideas and fast. Otherwise.... plod on into.... well.... Get an atmosphere going! Make it somewhere we want to stop! Give us a reason to stop!! Just... anything! as to just sinking! Nothing is happening!I don't know what else to say. There is so much potential. Cancelling BT? Beggars belief.

My original post was regarding the one about people getting into the local choice suite and that person asked how it works. Moose why are you replying to me with all sort of questions and responses when the original post wasn’t from you? I didn’t question your knowledge I was questioning the knowledge of the original poster. Your an embarrassment. What the club needs to go forward is a good set of loyal fans, no matter what goes on behind closed doors. Loyal fans would be a start!!!

Sorry, obviously got the wrong end of the stick. (*You're an embarrassment...).
I'm an embarrassment?' To whom? Ok, I will admit, I hold my hands up when I have been a dick, but I will always fight my corner. I never say anything I don't mean. (After a few beers.... yes... it comes out a different way than I actually intend)...
Maybe because you said 'good riddance' last week.... to people like myself and let's say hmmmm a thousand others.... I took exception to the fact you do actually need people like myself and you need to listen to what turned us all away. You can not survive without listening to the problems.

Ok fair enough. You keep doing what your doing and hopefully one day the club will grant your wishes.

Whilst you do that, I am gonna carry on going to the game and supporting the team that I support and have done my whole life.

Hopefully one day we will see you back at the Globe Arena supporting the team too.

Was just curious with your post. So nothing changes... let's see how that pans out... yes I have a massive problem with MFC because it could be run so much better. You don't need people like me? Let's see how that pans out eh?.... I think it is you that needs to get a grip of what is actually going on. If it was just me... I would hold my hands up and question myself... but... hmmm... it's not is it. Just saying it like it is.

Look, I want the same end result as you pal, a successful Morecambe Football Club, I can't stress enough how much I mean that, but if people like myself have thrown in the towel, you have to ask why and start asking the questions... I have tried to give the answers, as have so many others, but being told to just lump it or feck off just doesn't wash. I'm sorry that you feel that way and I am sorry that I have no other reply other than that I am one of the loyal 'any weather' fans that have stopped coming. But the question of why will always crop up, I have tried to answer and nothing has changed for the last few years. I can't say any more. Hope there are no hard feelings, we just see things so very differently.

I'm sure someone asked 2 or 3 pages ago, if a survey of local pub prices had been done. Well yes it has at least twice in last 18 months, feed back given to club and nothing changed. Got 4 pints after game £13 and no football on TV. Went 10 mins away 4 pints £8 and both late games on TV. With people in there, stayed till after the Spurs game. Spending money behind the bar.

Just to be clear, anyone can go in the upstairs bar after the game, so all fans can see the MotM awards.

But that is part of the problem, very few of the 'poor fans' do go up. When The Globe first opened it felt like the fans from the Berlin Wall or behind the goal weren't welcome. And back then, it was busy anyway. Having driven a wedge between the 'posh' & 'let them eat cake' fans, it will take some focussed work to repair that split. And that'll only happen if there is a genuine desire to do so. Having Rod as Chairman (if he'd want to do it gain!) would go some distance to doing so.

There is an element of truth in this - but at no point have the people who volunteer to clear the stands after games received free admission - or received any other benefit. I just wanted to make that clear. When the Trust was speaking to the club about recruiting volunteers, free tickets were initially suggested by Rod, but this was ultimately not approved by the board.

For Chairman, if he wants the role I think there is no better candidate than Rod Taylor IMO.

Too many freebies already in my view! And home fans should really be able to clear their own rubbish away anyway.

Assuming that the new owners take notice of social media , could somebody start an online petition asking them to take heed of public opinion and ask Rod if he would take on the position, I am sure such a petition would attract enough votes to draw their attention to the wishes of most shrimps fans.

Absolutely people should take their own rubbish away - but unfortunately they do not so this is a task that needs to be done after each home game. If it isn’t, the ground staff have to do it on Monday - Chesh and his team already have enough to do. I was just pointing that volunteers have never received free tickets for doing this, as it was unclear. Even if they were, it wouldn’t really be a benefit as most volunteers tend to be season ticket holders.

Noticed that the club tweeted that a Yeovil Town supporter cleared the away end on Saturday.

Naaahh....he loves the club and already puts in masses of time down there...the spirit of JB Christie said it is Rods destiny to lead us onto the 2020 playoff final.

Keith, I’m not sure if you are referring to the home end too? However, if you are then it’s not always true. On my most recent infrequent visits I haven’t been able to access the bar upstairs after the match.

I must admit I agree with the comments that it doesn’t sit too right with me. I remember thinking, it feels very titanic - those with money on the decks and the paupers below. It’s the way football is going however when we have so few fans I’d rather everyone is together.

If that is the case then the security on the doors downstairs need to be told that anybody post match is allowed upstairs.

Who stopped you Tom and what was said? My understanding is that all were welcome after every match?

But this is yet another example of where the club is failing. If it is 'welcome to all', then we need to make that clear and promote this. A huge bar, plenty of staff, MotM award & interview, watched by fifty people. Perhaps have a promotion upstairs and close the downstairs bar? Get more people in so that the atmosphere is improved?
