Interesting, I thought with the news that Mills needs a hernia operation, that he wouldn't be in today. Glad he is, probably my player of the season so far.

Would rather see Oswell start over Kev as Kev is better as an impact sub nowadays. But, let's see...

The colour of their stadium and all those flags look exactly like an old television with the tube going and just 2 colours available making everything a shade of green and yellow.

Using Keith's alternative link at the moment - and if this brings us a bit of luck and a win then I reckon that I will keep on using it. And a win plus a bit of luck should make Keith so happy that he will be tickling his cat's ears!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Not much for the first 20 minutes but for the last eight minutes, Forest Green have been on top. We need to change it a bit.

Great saves at either end to keep it 0-0. Halstead with the first, where the attacker really should have scored, but after Halstead did really well, then Old cleared off the line. Then an excellent save from their keeper after good work up front. Halstead just tipped over from a corner.

Better game in the last few minutes.

Decent enough first half. We coped well and were unlucky on a couple of occasions.
Everything Forest green, bar their keeper, is such a horrendous colour.

Nothing much in this second half. They look more likely to score. Ajay & Mandeville not really doing much today, which left Oliver isolated up front, same as last season.

Oliver off as I write.

GET IN!!!

I disagree with the commentary team, I don't think Tutte's shot was on target, I think it was going wide, but Wildig trapped it, turned and shot superbly!

COME ON!

Away seated stand was freezing, I'm taking a blanket next time. Nice dancing from the commentary team after the goal!

Great to have the old access back, thanks Keith.

Excellent result and sets us up nicely for the most important away game of the season so far, Halifax.

We did go a bit mad when we scored, and it wasn't obvious that us three were the only Shrimps in that stand!! :D

Another great result, and I have to say I thought another great refereeing performance. He didn't let them get away with those niggly pushes that teams so often do at this level, and even gave a booking for diving which is extremely rare at our level! Linesman helped us out a bit with the clearance off the line.

Credit to the performance of the lads as well. They were clearly a confident team and assured in possession, but we limited them mostly to long shots. It was a game we needed a bit of luck and to catch them on the break, and sure enough we got it.

However, the only slightly disappointing part of my day was the behaviour of some of our fans at the start of the game. They were being abusive to pretty much anyone who walked past, whether it was a mascot, player, ref or otherwise. I'm all for a bit of banter at the football, but it was sadly quite embarrassing. Luckily they stopped soon after, we're all prone to getting a bit swept up at times, just didn't like seeing our club associated with that kind of behaviour.

Stunning result, great 3 points and a marvellous clean sheet, Mark Halstead deserves the jersey for now, imo

He'd be gutted if he was to be dropped once Barry is fit.

For me it would be bad for team morale, the incentive for people not getting into the first team should work like if when you get a chance and play well you should keep that spot.

And i also think any player with anything about them would understand that, there should be no problems in any dressing room when a team is picked with that priniciple.
