As always an excellent report from thedoc. I particularly enjoy his reports on the places that he visits as well as the games themselves.
I remember about 16 or 17 years ago I was in Nailsworth (Forest Green Rovers) on business and as I was walking through the (village/town, or whatever it is - very pleasant but HOW can it support a league club???), I saw a small grocers shop. In the window I spotted a notice that said MORECAMBE BAY POTTED SHRIMPS. Naturally I had to go in and I asked the lady "are they really what you say they are?"."Of course" she answered, "we only sell the very best".
I wonder if that little shop is still there? If so, then I guess that we kind of proved her point today. Morecambe Shrimps - simply the best.
And that's a totally true story.
