Praise from Ian Holloway on the EFL on Quest show for the club sticking with Jimbo after a difficult start, being rewarded with 5 league wins in 10 and 2 in a row, so let's hope more praise is on the way!

Difference being Jim having found his best 11.

Fans were understandably worried after the Crewe game and form that followed, and lack of cover with Lavelle & Old out.

A lot were alarmed before the season even kicked off that we'd signed more attackers than defenders, and it could lead to a crisis!

Brilliant 3 points for The Shrimps. Under the cosh for much of the game, but absolutely resolute defending, quality performance, again by Halstead, steely grit and determination as a team........smash and grab at the end. Very happy Morecambe fans.
Just my opinion, Mandeville off again, why?????
A massive well done to all the lads. A big confidence boost in time for Tue, can't wait.COYS.

He'd be gutted if he was to be dropped once Barry is fit.

For me it would be bad for team morale, the incentive for people not getting into the first team should work like if when you get a chance and play well you should keep that spot.

And i also think any player with anything about them would understand that, there should be no problems in any dressing room when a team is picked with that priniciple.

Got to agree. He certainly doesn't deserve to be dropped. But it is a headache for Jim, dropping his captain? Hopefully if he'd dropped, Baz will understand. I suppose to a certain extent, it may already be about next season? If Barry is planning to play for another season (and he's certainly good enough), he'll want to be first choice again ASAP. But if the niggling injuries are becoming more and more problematic & painful, he may be considering that this is his last season, so letting Halstead have a run is the right thing? Having two excellent goalkeepers is a rare luxury?

Just re-watched the goal, Tutte's shot was heading a mile wide!

I've watched it several times now and it was a very clever pass by Tutte and not a shot at goal.

TBF, we were fifteen yards in the other half and on the opposite side to the camera, so didn't know if it was going in or wide, but asked the question, don't care anyway as Oswell and Wildig were both unmarked and waiting for the pass/shot!! :)

Great 3 points and a clean sheet. Also I’m happy for wildig to get a goal, he deserves one for all his effort. Agree with leaving Barry out, Halstead has played well and his distribution is far better than Barry’s.

It wasn't a dig, don't forget the first post was 'live' during the game. The "  "s in the second post was because I'd had a chance to watch it again and realised just how far wide it was heading! Not convinced it was a pass but if it was, it was an excellent one!

Best back up keeper we have had in years. I think Jim will keep him in. Jim plays the players that do train well such as Cranston, and Oliver, who is training well and stays for extra training. Paying off now.

Is Mandeville going off every game a thing now?

Wasn't taken as a dig Keith, the position we were in was genuinely not great, quite low down and well away in the other half.
Regarding Mandy, he had a quiet game by his own standards yesterday, this happened against Halifax also, but we are all hoping he can spring back to form Tuesday night!

Agree. Great performance and deserves a chance, though best to still be cautious.

Can't think of a back-up keeper that's done so well since Todhunter covered a few games.
