O/T Butchers in Morecambe/Lancaster?

Anyone recommend a butcher and is it too late to order a free range turkey for Christmas?

Bare Butchers & Deli on the crescent sponsor matches and they should still be taking orders ;)

If not then try Gregory's at the back of M&S in Lancaster.

Bare Butchers & Deli allow me to put fixture and event posters up on behalf of the Club and Shrimps Trust, as do A. J. Baker Butchers of Regent Road and R. Preston’s of Heysham on Heysham Road.

Aldi will be having fresh turkeys in store on the 19th. Last year ours was excellent; the best we've had for years!

Free range at Aldi? Not doubting the quality of what they sell but it's unlikely to be free range.

I'll recommend Robert Prestons, the butcher on Heysham Rd near the Strawberry Gardens, we always get our meat from him.

For Christmas he needs an order within the next 2 weeks, his turkeys are free range but come plastic wrapped with MAP (modified atmosphere packaging) to keep them fresh.

I can also recommend his other meat including his sausage (oo-er missus)

Hey CC, Aldi? pah!

The Top butcher's in these parts are Halton village Butchers up on High road and it's owned by the man who managed the spar Torrisholme counter for 30 years and made Bare village butchers the shop it is today, he is ably assisted by a true master butcher who started out in the mid 70's at Nightingales in the poulton area of morecambe and also worked alongside him at Spar for over a decade.
