Great read and completely agree with everything in your opening comments.

So many sit on their arses complaining about everything or complaining about those who complain but very few do something about it, either by doing or getting the message out there. All credit to those that do and sod those who don’t. Keep it going.

Sorry Doc i am a great fan of your work normally , but the column seems to have "left the reservation" somewhat over the last couple of weeks, its your right to do so of course! , but hey ho, checks and balances have a place to, particulary on a subject dedicated forum.

As usual, a very good, fair and honest report with regard the actual match.
Pleased to see a few SVs making the effort to comment on it. A small note of irony, is that, the only people to do so for the 8 reports previous to the Colchester one, were me and redrobbo.

....and another excellent report of yesterday's game. I have no issues whatsoever with Roger's reports of games just with certain aspects of his posts....but that's only my opinion and I respect those others ( the majority :?: )who don't agree with me.

It would be a loss to this forum if Roger's reports were no longer.

I appreciate all the comments made here, even the ones I don't necessarily agree with: at least people care about the club whatever their outlook and I'm neither stupid or arrogant enough to think what I write is always correct. So I must apologise to Popcorn for the particularly apt comment he has made on these pages and attributing them to Little Shrimp in yesterday's article - that was a mistake. Not that I disagree with anything either of these people have written...

Anyway - guess what? I received an e-mail earlier from the editor at D3D4 Football saying:

Morning Roger,

Happy New Year. Thank you for all your work in 2018, it was very well received (unless you live if Crewe). If you have time would you be able to do a review of 2018 from a Morecambe perspective? There are some examples on the website but you can write it however you think is best.

I actually suspect I've said it all in the last two articles. I'd be happy, though, to hand this bit over to all of us and cobble whatever you would like to say together without editing it. So please don't be shy - but equally, PLEASE keep it clean. Entries in by Wednesday - otherwise, it will be next year, won't it?

I enjoyed the match report and I think you made some great points- particularly about the aftermath of the photo - I didn't know that.

I will say that it really spoils the report when you seem to use it to settle petty scores with shrimpsvoices users. Makes you sound like Alan Partridge. "Needless to say, I had the last laugh".

I really appreciate the alternative view of what happened on and off the field, just not what happened online.

Sorry you feel that. If I always wanted the last laugh, I wouldn't invite people to say what they really think and promise not to edit it. This is an open forum, remember - everybody has a right to reply, just as you have now.
