Priority signings

Priority signings

For me if we could afford 3 new signings either permanent or loan they would be an experienced striker capable of partnering Oliver or working as a single striker; a hard man operating in central midfield or just in front of the back line who can organise and demand better end product from those around him (even as on the field captain) and an experienced central defender to take some of the pressure and provide alternate options to both Sam and Old.

Pie in the sky on my part no doubt but of the 3 an experienced central defender would be my number 1 target.

Wouldn't be surprised if we saw someone coming in on loan from Carlisle.... ;)

For me, a couple of strikers are essential. I think we're ok midfield and defence, especially with some of the injured likely to be back. We're not really leaking goals at the back this season. Our problem is that we're just not scoring (again!).

It's lack of goal scorers that's the problem. I'd like to see an older striker coming to the end of his league career and a youngster of the same ilk as Lang to give Jim some real choice up-front. Oliver and LS just aren't scoring enough.
