I completely agree that our crowds rising is fantastic news and more income for the club. My point was it has got nothing to do with our Commercial Department at all.

To illustrate my point, as a Lancashire business owner, I've had LinkedIn requests from Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, Bury, PNE and AFC Fylde. Today I got one from David Dawson, Commercial Director at Lancaster City. I've never had anything from anyone connected with Morecambe FC.

I accepted it, as I was keen to find out if he would follow it up. He immediately messaged me attaching a brochure, which unfortunately I can't attach as SV won't accept PDFs but take my word, it is really good and very professional. Again it is more than any commercial person associated with Morecambe FC has done in 8 years. I recognise that MFC recently held a Chamber event at the Globe to get companies involved - a good step - but the four of us who attended - an online retailer, a pub group owner, a brewery and a more general business - have never had any follow up.

I'm just telling you how it is.

From the Wrexham forum following their loss on Saturday:

"My views on last 2 games having watched them oswell and Stockton are no upgrade on what we have .. "

And.....

"Oswell looks a poor signing, no pace, sh1te in the air, constantly outmuscled. Stockton a lump, thought it was Simon Ainge all over again at certain points today. We are currently paying a wage to 6 or 7 'strikers' and not one of them is good enough if we want to seriously challenge."

Personally thought that it was a good bit of business by JB, and so far, it sounds like it is proving to be more than good.

Let's wait and see, once they get some service from the wingers. When Oswell played at Preston in the cup he showed then what he was capable of doing.

Hope things do go well for the lad, and he enjoys success with Wrexham. On a non personal level, and as a buisness deal, my opinion would stay the same.

For a business deal to get some money into the club, i agree, but would have loved to see if he could have done a good job at our club.

Warmed the bench on Saturday in their 2.0 loss, getting very tight in the National League

Warmed it with Cole Stockton.

Looks a good piece of business by Jim. Get a player in on a free and six months later get a decent fee for him, despite barely playing a game.

I think it would have been a good bit of business if Jim had been given that money to re-invest in to a much depleted squad.

0 goals scored in 12 appearances, looking like a great bit of business. I didn't even think he was that bad for us, I thought he'd have done well with a bit of a service in a lower league.

Saw plenty of people on here querying whether we could have got Stockton, he's also only scored 1 for Wrexham. Pretty pleased with how things have turned out! Bennett looks like a more complete striker than Stockton, though to be honest I'd take both next season.

Man who has no qualifications in field disagrees with man with lots of qualifications in field and 8 years experience in role shock.

Did you vote Leave in the referendum by any chance?

At least I admit it when I'm proved wrong. Maybe others should do the same.

As for Brexit I voted remain and somehow I think I may have got that one right.... ;)
