Check the law before you post crap like this. If you drove around Sandringham as he did, the police could do no more to you than they have him. Private property, you could break the land speed record and get no more than a stiff telling off.

I'm not saying he's not an idiot driving without a seatbelt on any road but the law requires evidence that will stand up in court. It doesn't exist. He hasn't been treated any different which is the whole point of RedRobo's argument.

Popcorn I take it by the lack of reply your discussion is based on opinion as it would not be a problem to declare your area of expertise. That’s fine but can I point out that I agree with both of you and that’s why I pointed out about police discretion. The law is not black and white but red orange blue green and every thing in between. That is why 2 people committing the same offence may result in both , one or neither being charged or found guilty as the police magistrates and jury,s take circumstances into account. To be honest who cares half the world is starving has dirty water no healthcare and we discuss this trivia. We have more important things to give opinions on.
