I'm sure if Jim was given a mid-table budget he'd achieve a mid-table position. In fact, as he's being given a lower Conference budget and achieving League Two survival, perhaps a mid-League Two budget would result in the Play Offs?

PS: If Jim WAS given a mid-League Two budget, and was still scrapping around the relegation battle, THEN I'd be agreeing with you that he needs to go, because THEN he (& we) would be under-achieving.

This, for me, is where I think a lot of us differ in our opinion of Jim.

I am a big fan of Jim’s recruitment throughout his tenure. Yes, there may have been some signings that haven’t worked out. However, on the whole, Jim buys very well for his budget.

I strongly believe that the players we have at the club now are capable of much better. And that is where I have a problem with Jim and Ken, as well as their insistence on looking for someone else to blame. There are many players that we’ve signed on a shoestring budget that are still performing well at L2 level or above. Yet as a club we’ve won only 16 games this season and last.

Most people on here would seem to agree with you and yet, so far as we know, no other club has tried to buy any of our players in this transfer window. Are we deluding ourselves as to the quality of our team :?:

No but I think we are deluding ourselves about the quality of the match day officials , if they had done their job right on a number of occasions we may well have been around the mid table area !
