O/T Macclesfield Town

O/T Macclesfield Town

BBC Manchester reporting that “some” Macclesfield Town players have not been paid for January and that players and club have gone to PFA for help.

Deja vu for Michael Rose, if he’s one of them.

Will be interesting to see how much mileage this gets in the media considering the shit our club was subject to.

Also it's rumoured that Paul Ince is to head an all black consortium to take over at Macc, a consortium that would include Sol Campbell, Andy Cole and Shaun Gauter.

Maybe our interest in taking Ince has fuelled a desire to get involved at our level.

Bloody hell, deluded is being kind S9601.
So if the rumour, as mentioned earlier by rr, is correct. Then Mac will have Sol..” one of the greatest minds in football,” and Ince...legend in his own lunch time, should manage Championship at least. :?: ;) :?: ;)

Both Premier League winners, multiple England caps between them, one did well in Italy and the other an Invincible. What would they know about footy eh?

My reference related more to football management achievement.
SC might keep Macc in Lge 2?
PI, who suggested he could have put Man Utd back on the track to success. Based on his managerial track record, pretty arrogant in my opinion.......one of the shortest, if not the shortest length of time, that any Premiership manager ever served( Blackburn)
Football ability on the pitch, obviously does not guarantee football management success.

Paul Ince as done well Managing in the lower leagues, he once took over at Macclesfield when they were 7points adrift at the bottom of L2 and he still kept them up and like Sol Campbell without a pot to piss in.

Its not always about money, Macclesfield came up from the conference with the lowest budget in the conference.

Absolutely right Andy D, but I don’t think OGS will be on the phone to PI for managerial advice, any time soon.
My original post was just meant to be a bit of tongue in cheek banter, at Maccs expense.

Ince is an arrogant so and so, but his win average over his managerial career was a very good 40.2%, over several clubs, his worst average was 28% at Blackburn under very difficult circumstances, so he is actually a good manager.

Sol Campbell left Macclesfield by mutual consent.

Lots going on behind the scenes at the Moss Rose could be a reason why Sol as left

Bit strange though as they have brought in over 10 new players (wonder who signed them)
