Survival battle fun!!

MFC are nowhere near good enough to finish in the top 6 ..and given oir weak support and therefore pathetic financial clout, the thrills and spills of a relegation dogfight with the prize being FL survival is far more entertaining than mid table boredom isnt it?

Nobody from the bottom 9 teams is safe , making it very precarious ,and entertaining , well done Jim Bentley on managing to attain mid table status in this "mini league" , hampered by various off the field issues , we are lucky to have you!! :D

Most small clubs want the same but impossible if you haven't got the funding :?
If Jim manages to keep Morecambe up this time it will eclipse all his previous miracles by a country mile in a league that's getting tougher to compete in, year after year due to bigger and better sides joining it.
I for one hope he can do it but there's no easy outcome for him either way.

Did Accrington make the impossible possible last season then?

That's like comparing kendal to Carlisle as things stand, why beat yourself up about something that wouldn't be improved under another manager given the same set of circumstances?
Seen the same at Oldham, stagnating for years and untimately ending up in the same league as Morecambe, something I would have said was an impossibility at any stage.

Shit storm more like! Wonder if Andy Holt would sack Coleman if they get relegated back into league two? that's a distinct possibility no matter how friendly the owner might seem, when his money is at stake.

Big games on Tuesday night.

Cheltenham v Cambridge - six-pointer
Notts County v Newport - Newport’s league form has collapsed during their cup run - 2nd worst
Port Vale v Tranmere - Tranmere also on a poor run and dropped out of play-offs

Then us away to Oldham.
VIVE LA REVOLUTION!

Surely they are punching above their weight with their budget and lack of facilities? Coley is working miracles with that club isn't he? Why would Holt sack him? Crazy talk.

When success is gained through one mans investment there will always be a heightened level of expectation from the said man and Coleman like any other employee isn't indispensable, he's a good fit at accy but failed miserably when given the chance to manage a bigger club.
It's fair to say Jim is fighting on all fronts against a greater opponent.

Accy had a good start to the season though and now have a new loan signing in Paul Smyth who looks a cracking player. And there ground looks really tidy nowadays
