Wonder what was said at half Time? Something obviously went wrong. As I posted earlier I had a bad feeling about this game just wish I was proved wrong. Back to square one with regards to relegation battle. Qx

At least we didn't sit back and had a go i suppose.

My only problem was Jim by not replacing Kenyon(battler) sooner who was on a yellow card, because he was lucky not to get a 2nd yellow.

Why were they a disgrace?

I bet Jim will still dig some of the players out in his post match interviews.

Not were a disgrace but are a disgrace for the amount of late goals conceded this season, as well as late penalty misses and the rest. That is a psychological issue, nothing more and the players are responsible.

I am simply standing with the away fans and suggesting that the players/management should have a whip around and reimburse the loyal fans who made the long journey to Yeovil as they have consistently let down this season.

Had to give up my seat today unfortunately, so could only listen to the game. Not ideal to make comment, but for me.........two Lge 2 relegation battlers, slugging it out, and we get beaten by a worldy.
That’s footy.

At least the loyal away supporters have seen wins lately , as a home only supporter I haven't seen a victory since the 22nd of December !

So very true!

Anyway look we don't do boring mid table safety anymore. The lads realize that we fans enjoyed last seasons skin of the teeth survival so much that they want to put us through it again.

Yikes, it's like a promotion tilt in reverse. Excitement all the way to the end. None of this boring crap for us!

Absolutely shocking result. Even more worrying when we seem unable to win at home.

We are what we are which in reality is probably the infra-structure of a National League North Club. We struggle to get just over 1,000 home fans anymore! To get a half decent average we rely upon big away followings. Look at what we're up against, Wrexham, league below over 7,000 today, Notts County, below us, over 7,000. Grimsby, mid table mediocrity nearly 5,000. I don't know what the answer is anymore. Home form is abysmal which doesn't help.

Say to Bentley "Thanks for the job you've done, but at the end of the season it's time to go." The same crap will keep happening every season unless we make a change.

Yep, the 'big' clubs from former years still have that pulling power that we very rarely had. None of us know for certain how this will all pan out but one things for sure we really are consistently punching above our weight. We may look back in years to come and reminisce about the halcyon days of EFL membership or we may be the next Accrington or Burton Albion. Part of the fascination is never really knowing.

All we can do is be realistic, enjoy the ride as far as possible and savor the highlights such as the great win at Oldham last week.

Follow your team through thick and thin!

We would never ever able to compete with some of the club's in the National League on a lot of fronts as expenditure would be approx the same but with a significant drop in sponsorship money after the parachute payments disappeared.

About time we faced the truth and admitted that average gates of over 2250 are simply a pipe dream and totally unrealistic.

Yes but Yeovil were very recently in the Championship. Back in the day they were consistently in the top 3 Non-League clubs in the Country with regular giant killing acts in the cup. No Premier League or EFL teams nearby and yet we now look down on them as a team we should brush aside? Really shows how far we have come.

Last Home game of last season against Barnet we'd just over a surprising 2000 with Barnet only bringing no more than 100.

Stay away football fans?

My point was, that despite their fall from grace, and a poor season so far, they can still pull a crowd of 2500+.

Stay away fans would return if home form was good, but until we are more positive at home it will not happen. The potential is there, but until changes are made and better marketing and advertising methods are in place, things will not change!

2 reasons for that, 1. cheer us on to league safety and 2. possibly our last home game in the football league! This season could be a big crowd against Newport for the same reason!!

Yes and unfortunately the Barnet game was another where we just didn't turn up. The team that is, not the fans.

Just watched the Sky goal highlights. Our defence is an utter joke. We get overrun and stretched so easily in the middle of the park our defence just gets torn to bits and dragged all over the place.

This is often quite a downfall of 4-4-2, not having enough men in the middle of the park, but there are ways to get round it. Out of possession we need to be much more disciplined - we need to move as a unit in two banks of 4 and cut off passing options. There is no intelligence or organisation to how we defend, it literally just seems to be random players bursting out to close down the man on the ball. It's horrifically inefficient and is why Yeovil seemed to capable of bypassing our midfield and getting men into space. This can definitely be worked on on the training ground and needs to be sorted out immediately. It's embarrassing.

Precisely and as a former defender of note we should expect such things to have been sorted by JB.

Also it would help if our forward(s) would put constant pressure on an oppositions back line to force them into errors of distribution to their midfield.

I've just watched MOTD and the pressure of defenders by forwards in games is something that is lacking in our game plan. The Burnley game was a superb example of how to put constant pressure on an opponents defence.
