'we shouldn't have to score 2 goals to win a game'.......sorry but for me that is so negative and suggests that we go into a game to score a single goal and then defend.

What happened to the old Morecambe where by if the opposite scored 2 we'd score 3.

How many times do we hear that attack is the best form of defence.

Ah, he actually said "we shouldn't have to score more than 2 away from home to get something". That's still negative though.

Neil has abbreviated the comment in order to have another go at the manager, he could have put his creative whining in the Jim out post.

I think Jim is sometimes too honest, and speaks it as he is feeling it, with emotion.
To score 2 away from home, and with match stats that are pretty even. Then he has every right to feel disappointment, as we all do.

I think it is a pretty standard post match interview clichè. Jim has a point but I would much rather hear him bang on about how he is going to put it right which ultimately is what he is paid to do0

Fair comment BW. But would that not amount in some way, to saying that he hasn’t already been trying to put it right, and will still open him up for a “slating?” For me, he can’t win, apart from when we do win.

I agree, it is a winless battle but that is the case for every Manager. I would like to evidence of improvement in defending leads and game management rather than just complaining about it.
