For some time now I have wondered if our fitness levels are on a par with other clubs. We seem to concede a lot of goals late on in games and this season in particular this is proving expensive in points dropped. I have also wondered about the general fitness of two of our players Tutte and Wildig. They seem to play the odd game and then miss a lot of matches. Are they carrying permanent injuries that prevent them playing much? For a club having to watch the pennies they are proving to be very expensive as we only get a few games out of them. Both are good players, badly missed but surely it's time to consider releasing them and look for players able to cope with the physicality of League 2. With the club struggling for survival it's vital the manager has a full squad to choose from.

Tutte seemed to suffer from injuries (some long term) when at Bury.

Accrington have to train mostly on 4g so they only sign players who can train on it. Is that revolutionary thinking or just common sense?

A lot of our players look heavy or skinny. We have no meat heads who can bully a team like most L2 clubs

Jim took a similar gamble with Sean Miller but it paid off to be fair.

For me this summer going forward i wouldn't risk signing players with injury concerns with the little money we have available.

Yep.

You can still work at set pieces. Shooting, Shape & Movement, Cradio, Circuit Training, etc.

To much of an excuse is made with Turners field imo.

I have said it before but I think the club are fortunate to have acquired a public field for their own use. Why don't they put a couple of portacabins on it as changing facilities? I doubt there are many clubs in League 1 and 2 with top notch facilities

Playing Devil's advocate once again, maybe JB can only sign players with a history of injuries due to the budget he has at his disposal. I'm sure given a level playing field we'd have a far better calibre of player than we have at the moment but it's never going to happen unless i win the EURO Lottery, buy the current owners out and put in place a local consortium made up of both present and ex Directors who have the interests of our club at heart, whilst I finance a vastly improved playing budget for the manager for the next five seasons...interest alone on my winnings would cover the cost.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
