Just got back, what a brilliant night, didn't expect anything, then that happened. We used the wind in the first half and it flummoxed them completely, then a very topsy turvy 2nd half and with 15 mins to go they were on top and we had a jitter.

Great entertainment, more of the same please and get those front 3 signed up

What a difference the recruitment of Bennett and Collins have made. We now have strength and flair in attack rather than the aimless balls up to a tall striker incapable of controlling the ball. Milton Keynes didn't get a moment of peace and were on the back foot for much of the game. Chances are being created and the side looks so much better. Long may it continue.

Did I dream that game? That was amazing! Very entertaining and enthralling! What I've been surprised and pleased by with the last two games at the Globe is, not only the exciting quality of the football and goals, but that we have at last rid the gremlins of being turned-around at the kick-off that has usually given the opposing team the advantage, but it didn't affect us against FGR's, and last night the atrocious conditions we turned in our favour! Feels like a new era! Please get these lads signed up a.s.a.p!!! UTS!!!

Anyone know if Richie Bennett is out of contract at Carlisle in the summer? If so and we can reach an agreement with him then he looks a good fit for us and vice versa. If he's still under contract at Carlisle then it probably complicates things, even if he personally fancies a move to us.

Bennett is out of contract in the Summer BUT Carlisle have an option to extend his deal by 12 months if they choose.

Another signing who has been over shadowed by the other 2, Mingoia, has been top class. Not troubled the scorers yet but his work rate and discipline down the right has been vital. He tracks back and helps Mills out but they also link well on the attack. A bit of a unsung hero.

Agree BW, his workmate over 90 minutes is immense, he is great on the front foot at always getting a cross in or a corner, but his tracking back and getting a foot in has been a revelation, he really is a mighty mouse and looks fresh in the final minute, superb engine on him.

What a great performance. I was obviously happy with the win on Saturday but critical of our lack of pressing and closing down when we were ahead. Last night was so much better. Admittedly MK got back into the game with their two goals, however I feel they were a much better side than FGR and we did a much better job of pressing them, particularly in the first half.

All in all a fantastic 2 home wins (first back to back home wins in over 2 years), but encouragingly much more enjoyable, attacking performances. Onwards and upwards!
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

To be fair, they are right, we did play the conditions better.
They are moaning that they only had one natural centre back playing, its funny but their bench would probably all start for us, such is the quality.
However, on the night, we deserved it overall, and they admit that.

You are right Freez they are one of the clubs at our level who have such resources that yes, given the chance, all their subs would probably be good enough to start for us, game in game out. I thought the same about Lincolns' bench, only I felt most of them would walk into any League Two team which shows their strength. You could therefore call last nights result a bit of a fluke. The thing about football though which keeps us all hanging on in there is that the game is sometimes unpredictable and sometimes throws up amazing stories e.g Leicester City Premiership Champs, Accy Stanley Division Two Champs.

We can but dream.

A “fluke” maybe, but a very well orchestrated one by the whole team. Time will tell, and I for one can’t wait for the next one. :D
